Trump's pathological lying was "annoying" for three years. But now that we're in an emergency, it can actually kill people.

Absolutely not! But you should! "Off-label" means that the FDA does not approve the use for coronavirus. But, since it's approved for other uses, they can legally prescribe it under their own risk. It is necessary to announce it or people will listen to Trump and start drinking out of their fish bowls.

In other words, Trump stupidity forces them to choose the least of two bad evils.

As far as "making it up" a new study in NY suggests that the prescription of Hydroxychlorcline has been effective in all cases. FDA has approved the use for "off label" prescriptions. And no. no one is going to start drinking out of their fishbowls. You still have to get a prescription from you doctor for the actual meds. I know, you ignored that part in your desire to hope it isn't true, but the initial study reports are positive. Of course you cannot support that because it defies your feckless narrative.
