    Calling Nurse @Sallyally

FEVER REDUCING MEDICINE PROLONGS VIRAL ILLNESS.
TEPID WATER SPONGE DOWN OR SOAK DOESN'T.

Nor some good ole fashioned drinking alcohol as a hot toddy. ;)

In the early seventies when I was in Medical School I enjoyed
The British Medical Journal because they had excellent "studies"
and less likely to be filled with articles about diseases only
effecting a few hundred people world wide or drug studies written by
    academic prostitutes.

One study I will always remember was a double blind study comparing
placebo, Aspirin, Tylenol, Ibuprofen for viral illnesses, colds / influenza.

No one knew who got what pill until the conclusion of the study.
The Placebo group had higher fever, more symptoms and got better faster.
The other 3 were no different and took longer to recover.
Fever reducers are "immune inhibitors" and should be avoided in viral illness.

Try convince the indoctrinated on that.

BMJ had another article, not double blind,
showing chicken soup more effective than tea or hot water.

Yes, I’ve heard of this and agree.
You have to be pretty staunch when your kids are miserable and fretful.
Do you recommend tinned soup or homemade? Is a sachet of chicken noodle the same as a Grandma’s hours long homemade?

Both are effective if used properly.

Yep, but the illness is protracted because the temperature is prevented from allowing the immune process to kill off the virus.
Ps. I suppose this is like flattening the curve.

Ech. Neither. I'll stick to alcohol, curcummin and aspirin, in that order.

I'll take some Ibu if a headache just wont go away. Thats like once a year. I don't take tylenol. Ever.

Do more reading, modernpaladin. Cucumin is not going to fix the lungs' inflammation from Covid19.

If only the lungs did not inflate and deflate his typo wouldnt have been questioned .

But if one condition of this virus was inflammation of the lungs it seems as if an anti inflamatory drug like ibuprofen would be better than tylenol.

Ibeprophen is like a stimulus package. It'll reduce today's systems but make it worse down the road when the virus growth of unfettered spending becomes too massive and the symptoms can no longer be managed.

Soaking in tepid chikun soup is the way to reduce a fever . lol. Plus my dogs love it when I do it !

My grandmother's chicken soup with a few sliced carrots celery and egg noodles was better in taste and results than any soup from a can

The only reason the US can spend like drunken sailors and both parties do it is because the position of our currency in the world. No other nation has this advantage. But when we lose this all hell will break loose . Too bad empires are all doomed to fail

That is how we can spend trillions on 20 year wars and not worry about it.

Yet if we want to spend trillions on
On the Commons or working americans hurt and damaged by the scheme of globalism that devalues labor as it creates insecurity for our people , suddenly it will implode America for we cannot afford it ! Only unnecessary war spending is affordable.

So the trillions spent on wars that are not wars of defense, where does most of these tax revenues and borrowed money end up? Well in the hands of a few corporations that make the tools of war along with other huge corporations that rebuild the nations we invade and destroy along with the parts needed for the rebuilding. The military industrial congressional complex .

So the people in congress who holler about the debt and spending are only concerned about the spending that are beneficial for our non elites. In short we cannot afford to rebuild our crumbling infastructure nor anything that improvrs the lives of working people or the working poor exploited by max profit capitalism.

The war driven spending that enriches particular elites can always be afforded.

So this is the reality where we live. And obviously debt does not matter! Yet the GOP lies and tells their voters otherwise.

One helluva con job and republican voters must be easy to deceive with only a few lies never questioned.
