...how the solution to every "crisis" is to shovel mountains of cash at big banks and other large corporations? It's almost as if each "crisis" is simply an excuse for certain people to grab as much money and power as they can while the population is crippled with fear. But that can't be possible, can it? Because that would make you a dupe and a slave, right? And if there is one thing you are certain of, it's that you are no dupe! Nobody can fool you because you're really smart and perceptive! If someone tried to fool you, you'd notice it right away, super smart person that you are...
Is it not amazing coincidence that the greatest free country in the world started with 13 colonies and was inspired by a religion started by 1 Son of God and 12 disciples = 13 ?
I'm not going to equate the US with its criminal pretend government, they are not one and the same. "It is the duty of every patriot to protect his country from its government." - Thomas Paine 2.3 million people behind bars and another 5+ million on probation and parole, a large segment for non-violent invented crimes in the "land of the free". This government is the greatest and most lethal terrorist entity on the planet, not to mention a racketeering organization working for select corporations.
So it goes in our fascist society these days. The rich get bailed out, the poor keep working at subsistence levels. Fascism is a wonderful system for the fabulously wealthy. Meantime, we keep indoctrinating our young with silly claims about democracy and the rule of law.
I don't have a "top 10", it's not a rating contest. However the most insidious are non-violent drug "crimes".
Ok, can you name a few of these “invented” crimes in no particular rating order, other than drug crimes?
I fail to see how that's relevant. Anyone can look up relevant metrics that measure things like standard of living, quality of life, educational level, economic freedoms, etc. You don't need to live somewhere to assess its overall performance. In any case, I'm not claiming to know what the "best" country is. I leave that kind of puerile speculation to chauvinist cretins. I'm simply casting doubt on the assertion that the USA is the greatest or freest country. There are tons of metrics which call that claim into serious question. In numerous important regards, the US is highly dysfunctional.
I used to make that distinction, but how long can you go before you have to put some responsibility on the population who keeps voting these crooks into power?
No, that would not be my suggestion. But it's a much better approach than shoveling money at rich crooks.
Why do you assume that rich people are "crooks"? It isn't possible in your mind that they EARNED their money?
I don't assume that. I assume that the rich people feeding at the trough of government handouts are crooks. Actually, it's not an assumption. They are crooks stealing money that they didn't earn.
1. Anyone can look up a metric, true. Cuba has 100% literacy, and Iran has 0 gays. But you're struggling to tell me which one is at the top because you can't perform a quantitative analysis of a qualitative metric like how you feel about a country. You said it definitely wasn't the US. That's not casting doubt. That's an assertion of certainty. So I want to know how you came to that definite conclusion.
