I cant find anywhere that china went into lockdown at that time. The city of wuhan wasnt in quarintine until january 23rd.

China wasnt preparing they were lying and covering up. They also rule their citizens with an iron fist. Donald Trump stating the flu vs coronavirus was not untrue in any way shape or form. Experts including the WHO didn't believe it to be a big deal until January 30th.

Donald is not acting like what your saying you just disagree with him and only see the bad.

Donald tweeted on march 9 that the US does not go on lock down when up to 70,000 people die from the flu, and want us to think about that when Corona only killed 22. That is the Donald and GOP downplaying the virus as no biggy, lying to the public. Two weeks later, and they are dumping corpses with fork lift trucks in 18 wheelers. Morgues are full. And it's still going to get much worse.
