    Still blaming Obama huh?
No, that is not what Obama did. Thats what you want to believe he did. Trump is actually DOING everything you were scared Obama was going to do, and all for a simple case of the cold it seems.

The resistance to fact is such a predominant value of the left that we no longer give denial or slander any cred at all. All the slack and tolerance has been used up, and the hole they continue to dig just gets deeper. Whether you like the truth or not, it is the only thing that can get your thinking back on track. Trump can cut it. Obama- just kept blowing smoke up your skirt and you bought that as performance. Nothing you choose to believe to the contrary will change that.

Then tell him what he said isn't true.
Asking someone to prove something to you is the same as asking them to take your inference for you.
'Prove it to me' is a very commonly used nonsensical phrase.
I took this opportunity to point that out to you because I've noticed that you take opportunities like these to up your game, come closer to saying what you mean.

He made some very specific claims. I want to see the links that prove those very specific claims are true. Otherwise, he just made them up. Are you claiming he did not make them up?

But there is no way to force another to accept truth as proof. Proof is an inference. We are constantly surrounded by people who accept things as proof that, to us, prove no such thing, even when we agree on the facts.

I really got off on a tangent here. It just seems to me that versions of 'Prove it to me', are beneath you. Just rephrase it. Leave out the 'prove it to me' stuff. Remember how silly that phrase is. It's like saying, 'take my inference for me'.

Why not? If they have different characteristics, like initial spread, then we can suppress one without the other being affected.

No. I don't think so. There is no way that we suppressed the spread of a wildly more contagious virus if we did not suppress the spread of much less contagious viruses.

Those were very specific actions which he accused Trump. He either said them or did not say them.

Yup. I mean, people are doing such irrational things right now due to their fear. Apparently some stores are putting plastic bags over credit card machines (with holes for the chip reader and where the card can be swiped, of course) as a "preventative measure". So, apparently everybody touching the plastic wrapped around the credit card reader machine is somehow different than everybody just touching the credit card reader machine itself?? It's downright laughable.

And all the people who are freaking out and wearing masks in public everywhere they go to "protect themselves" from contracting the virus... Masks do not stop a virus. Even the 'holy' N95 mask, which is rated for ~95% protection from particulates larger than 300nm, will not stop a virus, as the average virion/bacterium is more in the 70-90nm size, with some even getting as small as 20nm. Plus, many people don't even wear masks correctly anyway, and ignore the fact that their eyes are still exposed and that they still touch their face with their hands.

It is a virus no worse than the swine flu or common flu. I think people should stop irrationally fear mongering and enjoy life again! :)

I get that. I'm not referring to that. I'm referring to 'prove it to me' type phrases. Never mind. I had you wrong.

Hes perpetuating it then. I do see a solution though..find better leadership. And that is the ONE thing I have the power to influence with my vote.

Testing? This virus is new. How do you quickly test for something not known well? Who do you test?

    Silly blame game.

There is no proof Trump did not want testing. Stop spreading fake news.

How would any of your posts be any different if your job was to blame absolutely everything on Trump?
Is it that you only choose to chime in on threads where you think Trump can be blamed?
You're like one of those bots.

Actually its you blaming him..If you are not free to "go back to work" guess whats stopping you. Thats where your point fails.

My point is thats its as dangerous as they make it sound and we need to stay inside.

No matter whos incharge, I can adapt..They want us to stay inside..fine, I can work with that. I can even use the money they toss us to make it so that in a few years when the all clear is sounded, I may not even HAVE to go back to work.

He was very specific. Show where Trump said those very specific things or ordered those very specific things. Proving it, means showing where he said it.

I am not participating in the panic. My men and I continue to work. The only thing that's changed for me is that I can't have a burger and a beer up at my local tavern.

After my Father's funeral on the 8th of this month, I went and spent a week in the National Forest. It was fantastic. I had the whole place to myself. Now, I would never stay in a campground. I don't go into the forest to be with people, but since it was closed, I had it all to myself also. Consequently, I got to bring all the bells and whistles like coolers full of ice, meat, cheese and beer. I had over 300Lbs of stuff that I didn't have to haul into the forest. It was luxurious. The trails were amazing. It's no wonder why that is the most popular place in that entire national forest for hiking. Anyway, I've given a little like a burger and a beer here, and taken a little like the entire national forest there. So far, it's a wash for me.

"Show me", I like "show me", but 'prove it to me' does not equate with 'show me'. You can show all you want and the other can always say that what you showed them proves no such thing to them.

Proof is an inference; it is not an implication. No one can take another's inferences for them. 'Prove it to me' is actually a non-sensical phrase. It is literally impossible.

For example, If I said to some one, prove to me that the CCP virus would have killed 2.2 million Americans if we had not taken any mitigation efforts. That person would then show me the computer model that all of our mitigation efforts are based on. My response would be that that proves no such thing to me. To me, that proves, once again, that computer modeling is unreliable.

Sorry to hear about your father. Mine had a mild heart attack a few days ago and actually had to go to ground zero, the hospital. So I sympathize

Thanks. Mom died on Monday. I got the flu on Sunday. I haven't left my room in days. I'm sick as a dog.

I'm fifty seven years old, and I just realized something. Every time that I've ever had the flu, no matter how old I was, I always told my parents. No matter how old you are, your parents will always care if you're sick. They care as much when you're fifty as they did when you were five. I never realized that I did that until I couldn't do that. I'll never be able to do that again, and no one will ever again care as much when I'm sick.

I really don't give a crap about your definitions, etc. He made some very specific charges. Since they were that specific, he should be able to back them up. However, it is likely, as I suspected, he just made it up.
