https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/get-my-payment If you already recieved your 2019 refund, assuming you got one, it should go to the account used for direct deposit, assuming that's how you recieved your refund.
didn't do my taxes yet for 2019 (got extension), are you saying you only get the stimulus if you've done taxes?
I haven’t filed my 2019 taxes either, but got my trump bucks last week. They were direct deposited into the account they have on file.
If you filed your taxes in 2018 and have direct-deposit, you should already have it. But, if you didn't file your taxes in 2018, well... you may have bigger problems than worrying about $1,200.... Check with your bank first.
Filed my 2019 taxes about 20 days ago. Nothing yet. My other half is disabled, on SSI and retired, nothing yet either. Seems to be no rhyme or reason to how they are distributed.
Did you file in 2018? Do you have direct deposit? If the answer to both those questions is 'yes', then maybe you'd better take it up with your bank tomorrow!
If you filed 2018 or 2019 taxes and you used a bank account which is still active to receive your funds, they should have already been distributed to that account. If you did not file, you will have to wait for a check (if they can verify you’re at the same address as your last tax filing) and that could take a while.
Three weeks, then, is the latest filing from you to the IRS? Given the backlogs this time of the year, plus the 'virus' hoopla, I'd give 'em another week. The key seems to be whether or not a person filed in 2018... if they did, then the money should flow fast! We had ours reported as direct-deposited by the bank on the day that they started sending it out.
Here is a link to go to to sort everything out: https://www.oregonlive.com/business...ived-your-stimulus-check-youre-not-alone.html You will eventually get to a goverbnment website, so that means everything will work almost perfectly.
I have read stories that if you had filed tax returns using a tax preparer and you wanted the preparer to remove their fees from your refund then the checks are going into the tax preparers account and is causing all kinds of problems.
I filed electronically & I still have not received my refund. I just sent in my 2019 taxes last week, I filed my 2018 taxes electronically last year. Has anyone else who has filed electronically not received their stimulus?
I will check my accounts. Thanks for the info. I was actually waiting for a physical check to come in the mail.
I've read a lot of people aren't happy because they got less $$ by filing 2019 taxes. I actually got more $$ by NOT filing... Gotta love the gubmint...
Just curious if you finally got your money?? I also wanted to recount a ridiculous thing I got in the mail yesterday. I got my stimulus money via Direct Deposit back on 4/15, with no official notification at all.... which I'm totally fine with... I put 2 and 2 together.... However, yesterday, I got a paper letter via the mail from the IRS telling me I got $2900 from the government for stimulus.. Signed??... some scribble that I understand is Donald Trump. Necessary?? Of course not... but the direct deposit people weren't granted the official signature of the Glorious Leader, so they had to spend XX dollars to make that happen... What an idiot...
Haven't gotten mine yet, and it will be by check. I try to make sure I owe every year, and the odd occasion that they owe me a couple of dollars, I get it by check, and pay by bank check. I'm sure the IRS could find my bank account if they were so inclined, but I won't be voluntarily sharing that information.
Mine will be heading in a similar direction. Too many honorable organizations in desperate need of help, plus several locals who definitely need it more than me.
