“Y’all, liberal feminists encouraged my anti-feminism long ago. But, this week’s behavior among the pro-abort feminazis has reached peak insanity, to the point where I feel sorry for them and their hate and anger.”

The anti life side is truly angry and enraged in my opinion. They have gone off the deep end in their overt pro abortion rhetoric and protests. These pro life women who wrote the article are right on.

They are no more "pro-abort" than you are "pro-life" They don't want government involvement in their bodies and I agree with them.

Why are anti choicers such angry knobs? It's not pro choicers that have committed murder in the name of their cause.

Why is it that you thin more laws against women as the ONLY way to reduce the number of abortions?

Are you aware that Canada has NO laws against abortion, yet they have fewer abortions per capita than do we?

How come you aren't working to learn how Canada does better at what YOU claim to want??? Are you just plain lazy?

How about figuring out how Canada succeeds before writing even MORE laws against women?

Dude, what do you want feminists to say? It's some random poster on the internet who is saying feminists are angry over something. I mean the post comes off as petty and not really saying anything important. Like a "We wear pink on Wednesdays" thing.

If anti-abortionists spent the energy and money they spend supporting lawyers and lobbyists for anti-abortion legislation and used it instead on getting incubators, pre-natal services and well baby clinics, they could save the lives of thousands of WANTED babies.

We probably have the best system of neonatal care in the world what are you talking about? How do you know the pro-lifers don't contribute and support well baby care and pre-natal services and getting incubators. One thing we do know for sure it's the pro-abortion side that supports killing babies in the womb, maybe it THEY spend the energy and money they spend supporting lawyers and lobbyist and used it instead to support health clinics that DO support keeping babies alive and well they could save the lives of TENS of thousands of babies instead of killing them.

OK - so you have no respect for the founding principles - essential liberty - or the principles of republicanism - might as well get that out on to the table.

Are there any other reasons you want to mess with a woman's reproductive choice ? - one's that make sense I mean and have some legitimacy = something other than "God says so".

It's not a measure of our neonatal care and babies here we try to save, and get listed in infant mortality, where other countries don't even attempt to save them and when they die after birth are listed as stillborn.

Myth: “The U.S. has one of the highest infant mortality rates in the developed world.”

Talk about stretching a point until it snaps. This ranking is based on data mining.

The U.S. ranks high on this list largely because this country numbers among those that actually measure neonatal deaths, notably in premature infant fatalities, unlike other countries that basically leave premature babies to die, notes health analyst Betsey McCaughey.

Other statistical quirks push the U.S. unjustifiably higher in this ranking compared to other countries.

The Center for Disease Control says the U.S. ranks 29th in the world for infant mortality rates, (according to the CDC), behind most other developed nations.

The U.S. is supposedly worse than Singapore, Hong Kong, Greece, Northern Ireland, Cuba and Hungary. And the U.S. is supposedly on a par with Slovakia and Poland. CNN, the New York Times, numerous outlets across the country report the U.S. as abysmal in terms of infant mortality, without delving into what is behind this ranking.

The Commonwealth Fund, a nonprofit research group, routinely flunks the U.S. health system using the infant mortality rate.

“Infant mortality and our comparison with the rest of the world continue to be an embarrassment to the United States,” Grace-Marie Turner, president of the Galen Institute, a research organization, has said.

Start with the definition. The World Health Organization (WHO) defines a country’s infant mortality rate as the number of infants who die between birth and age one, per 1,000 live births.

WHO says a live birth is when a baby shows any signs of life, even if, say, a low birth weight baby takes one, single breath, or has one heartbeat. While the U.S. uses this definition, other countries don’t and so don’t count premature or severely ill babies as live births-or deaths.

The United States counts all births if they show any sign of life, regardless of prematurity or size or duration of life, notes Bernardine Healy, a former director of the National Institutes of Health and former president and chief executive of the American Red Cross (Healy noted this information in a column for U.S. News & World Report).

And that includes stillbirths, which many other countries don’t report.

And what counts as a birth varies from country to country. In Austria and Germany, fetal weight must be at least 500 grams (1 pound) before these countries count these infants as live births, Healy notes.

In other parts of Europe, such as Switzerland, the fetus must be at least 30 centimeters (12 inches) long, Healy notes. In Belgium and France, births at less than 26 weeks of pregnancy are registered as lifeless, and are not counted, Healy says. And some countries don’t reliably register babies who die within the first 24 hours of birth, Healy notes.

Norway, which has one of the lowest infant mortality rates, shows no better infant survival than the United States when you factor in Norway’s underweight infants that are not now counted, Healy says, quoting Nicholas Eberstadt, a scholar at the American Enterprise Institute............

And that is just the start of the articles and actual facts.

The article sure supports it. We save babies here other countries will not even attempt to save and we do so successfully. If your a newbie, as my three kids were, there isn't a better country to be born in. But why don't we take the money given to PP and use that for neo-natal care to make it even better rather than give it to people who want to kill babies if you are so concerned with babies?

What right have "we' to take money from PP ?

PROVE someone is killing "babies" and do your civic, and legal, duty and report them....

BTW, I didn't see anything in your article that says the US is the best...

Ranked 30th internationally and way toward the bottom of the industrialized nations, below Belarus and Lithuania, how can one of the world's richest countries not better serve its mothers?

The U.S., it turns out, has the second-highest preterm birth rate in the world, meaning that babies are born too early, and the highest first-day infant death rate in the developed world. Adolescent birth rates are also unusually high. These and other poor statistical showings mean that, even if lots of well-off American mothers probably have Norwegian-quality experiences, the overall U.S. average is on par with that of some post-Soviet Eastern European countries.

Save the Children's report suggests that the U.S. statistics may be due in part to inequality. The U.S. ranks at the very bottom of the developed world in terms of income inequality. Economically and/or socially disadvantaged mothers are less likely to have a happy and healthy experience from pregnancy through childhood, are more likely to become pregnant by accident rather than by choice and are less likely to receive the best possible care. Here's a snip from the report:

Many babies in the United States are born too early. The U.S. preterm birth rate (1 in 8 births) is one of the highest in the industrialized world (second only to Cyprus). In fact, 130 countries from all across the world have lower preterm birth rates than the United States. The U.S. prematurity rate is twice that of Finland, Japan, Norway and Sweden. The United States has over half a million preterm births each year – the sixth largest number in the world (after India, China, Nigeria, Pakistan and Indonesia).

According to the latest estimates, complications of preterm birth are the direct cause of 35 percent of all newborn deaths in the U.S., making preterm birth the number one killer of newborns. Preterm birth is a major cause of death in most industrialized countries and is responsible for up to two-thirds of all newborn deaths in countries such as Iceland and Greece.

The United States also has the highest adolescent birth rate of any industrialized country. Teenage mothers in the U.S. tend to be poorer, less educated, and receive less prenatal care than older mothers. Because of these challenges, babies born to teen mothers are more likely to be low-birthweight and be born prematurely and to die in their first month. They are also more likely to suffer chronic medical conditions, do poorly in school, and give birth during their teen years (continuing the cycle of teen pregnancy).

Same as with other business we are taking back federal money, I don't need to prove PP is killing babies they brag about how many each year. I said probably the best in my opinion especially when you look at the babies we save the other countries don't even try. Since when were you so concerned about saving babies and making sure they are safe and sound in the womb?

A factor of the mother's behavior not the efficacy of the our neonatal health care. Again you conflate things and then ignore things. And it's

"In 2018, 1 in 10 babies was born too early in the United States."
    https://www.cdc.gov/reproductivehealth/features/premature-birth/index.html

And let's not forget it is your pro-abortion side that WANTS to let even born babies die. So spare me your concern about the lives of babies.

when my first child was born PP helped us through the process, we did not even know they offered abortions, we were young and it was called planned parenthood, they helped us with appointments and helped us get food and diapers and stuff afterwords, it's "planned parenthood", they offer many services, but the potential parents decide the direction to go - they mainly help the poor, which we were at the time

Andrea Yates had 5 kids, had she only had 4, those 4 might still be alive today - not everything is black and white
