    http://www.politicalforum.com/index...ame-army-bases-that-honor-confederate.573848/

The first of these camps in the South were Camp Lee in Virginia, named after the Confederate commander Robert E. Lee, and Camp Beauregard in Louisiana, after another confederate general, Pierre Gustave Toutant Beauregard.

Then came a steady stream of bases bearing the last names of rebel generals, eventually 10 in all, created over the course of World War I and World War II.

Among them: Fort Bragg, N.C. (Braxton Bragg), Fort Benning, Ga., (Henry Benning) and Fort Hood, Texas, (John Bell Hood).

Now, as the nation erupts in protests over police treatment of African Americans, these base names honoring Confederate leaders are coming under scrutiny — again.

    Camp Che Guevara.

    Camp Josef Stalin.

The left would prefer that over Lee and Beauregard.

I guess Obama was a racist for not doing it when he was in charge! How about we change the name of the White House to the Cracker Barrel!

Nobody said anyone was racist for not doing this. Well except you. Not sure I’ve seen whataboutism, a strawman, and the race card all rolled into one, off topic sentence.

And he was clearly kissing ass to N Carolina to appease their anti-American traditions.

Don't blame Americans for trying to get along with Southern rebels who never admitted defeat. And yes, that IS what this is all about.

It kinda makes sense - those generals fought against the USA.

Then, on the other hand, many of them fought for the USA.

Perhaps, we should revisit this after the economy recovers and we have nothing more important to spend money on...

If they had an ounce of decency and common sense, they would name that after President Trump and his family. He has done more, and sacrificed more for the military than any President in history.

What you saw was mocking. Nothing more. Did we find a cure for cancer and have all this extra time to rename bases? Its stupid.

I promise you that no cancer researchers will be needed to rename a military base. They can continue their work unimpeded.

As long as their funding doesn't go towards the expense of renaming all those bases.

Did we solve poverty and homelessness and have extra money? This is stupid. Its more about the upcoming election than anything else.

Trump's a firm NO. Yale is named after a slave holder. Have the Left fix that, first.

The way Trump likes men from Russia FT. Stalin would be Trump's favorite.

Note I said men from Russia not necessarily Russian men of which Stalin was not an ethnic Russian.

You failed to demonstrate it and you failed to show your allegation as a fact.

Hey I thought you were wrong at first but I changed my mind but not naming military bases after Trump and clan. Name prisons after them and they can be the first guests of the prisons.
