You call a Manhattan-based magazine local news for Seattle? No link in that article mentions Antifa, just the author. Sounds like someone trying to stir up fear using the right's new bogeyman. When there are protests, there are opportunists who see a chance to do some damage and/or looting. No doubt those vandals are local citizens, but the vast majority of the people involved in the incident in the OP are peaceful protesters.

That might soon occur. At some point even the blind lefty elected leaders have to accept lawless gangs over running neighborhoods is a public danger they have to deal with. With the alienation of the police forces it very well might fall back on others to take back the areas so law abiding citizens might be secure.

Of course we have the Dem nominee talking about having the US Military having to drag the POTUS out of the White House, and that type of military use seems to be fine with the left.

Yep. Trump can make hell break lose there, but it cannot happen without governor asking for assistance. I think that's why generals freaked out. This doesn't mean rioters are good people, it just means enforcement of order is on locals until they request assistance.
The more I think about it - these autonomous zones can spread only in states where local governments are willing to tolerate them. Real civil war can really start only if Trump uses force without legal precedent. He can also legally intervene if these goons topple the governor or Congress can remove reps and senators of the state if it fails to carry out elections, in which case the state would lose electoral votes too.

Lately I've been sympathetic to Trump and I think he should just sit tight and let those goons make fools out of themselves. Well, he might also point out their stupidity to his advantage - after all, this IS the election year. Sometimes he really should count till 10 before he sends a tweet or says something. Current mess is almost 100% on democrats, he doesn't really need to do anything. Hope someone gives him similar advice.

According to the Seattle Times everything in the CHAZ zone is quiet and peaceful no merchants have been exploited or blackmailed as right wing media and political candidates claim. One of the leaders of the group holding the CHAZ zone is a 19 year old black woman, from another Washington city, who just formed her group within the past ten or so days and it has now grown to over 500 followers.

 

Well what should be done about these secessionist traitors in Seattle?

 

Put your proof where you accusation is. Show me a link that proves that ANTIFALA occupies 16 blocks.

 

All they did was move some barriers around and say they're going to act to keep the peace in that area. The way the folks on here talk you'd think it was complete bedlam there, with raping and killing going on non-stop. I'm sure there is someone in the group who considers themselves to be part of Antifa, but since there aren't any fascist demonstrations going on, they aren't counter-demonstrating.

Yeah, according to the OP link, that's not what happened. They moved some barriers around and declared that the area was "the property of the people of Seattle" via a sign. Folks like you are blowing it up to be a larger thing than it is.

They show up to protest fascist speakers. No fascist speakers at that part of Seattle, nor any fascist demonstrations, so no Antifa are demonstrating or outing themselves. For real, maybe get yourself a nightlight or something to scare away the Antifa that might be hiding under your bed.
