    Aunt jemima and mrs butterworth are my two options over generic. Is is generic sjw safe these days?

    Some of the chicken little cries in this thread are too funny. Products trying to keep up with the sensibilities of their consumer base is about as capitalist as it gets. Why complain about it? Change scary?

    Yea I am kind of shrugging over this. I am not sure how this will work out for the company though, there goes all that brand recognition. That is a HUGE thing in marketing.

    Perhaps change the name to Pioneer Syrup and use Pioneer Betty as the new brand. In the commercial have Pioneer Betty tapping the maple trees and simmering the sap.

    Change Uncle Ben to Frontier Frank's Rice. In the commercial have Frontier Frank rustling up some rice and beans by the camp fire.

    Bada bing... everybody is happy.

    It may be safer for companies to remove all minority representation from their products. What is acceptable now could very well be hate speech twenty years from now. If you use only white people as macots, you will never have to worry about complaints about negative stereotypes in the future.

    You have repeatedly stated that you do not believe racism exists.

    There is no point in bothering to explain why something is racist to a person who has repeatedly stated that he does not believe racism exists.

    Are you incapable of recoginzing people posting faux outrage to get attention and virtue signalling? What is offensive and be specific. What was offensive about a beauftiful American Indian woman offering her prouding made butter for sale? A statuesque Black woman offering her delicious syrup or a distinguish Black man his rice? Should we ban Betty Crocker?

    I don't give a **** about trying to explain why something is offensive to someone who does not believe it is offensive.

    The fact remains that the company which produced and sold these products decided to make a marketing decision based on their own capitalistic interests. Deal with it.

    I find the stereotype that cops are bad offensive. I find the stereotype of white privilege offensive. I find the burning down of cities and private property offensive. So **** them.

    As a father I'm offended by all the portrayals of fathers on television Peter Griffin ,Homer Simpson, The guy from Modern Family. When should I expect them to be removed? Or does my offense not count because of my gender?

    Do you not think this was the result of capitalism doing its thing? A company doesn’t have to go bankrupt for them to realize they’re behind on the times. They saw it and made a course correction. Again. Why does this upset you all so much?
