    I think we can. See, Trump is behind the government's reluctance to test. Trump doesn't want testing because it will discover more cases, and that, in his bizarro mind, worsens his chances for reelection. In my view, the opposite is true. Testing will allow the government to isolate where the disease is propagating which will make it better able to contain it.

    Failure to test is means the government will always be behind the eightball. Trump will rightfully be blamed for that and that will worsen his reelection chances. But, that's the point, the point is that Trump doesn't really care who dies or lives, he only cares about his image and his chances of being reelected, it's always about Trump. Why the right cannot see something that is so obvious is beyond me.

    "Butt hurt" they say. "Wah wah wah" they say, "TDS is in full swing" they say, as if people dying is of no concern, forgetting that one of their loved ones might be next on the grim reaper's list. They don't give a damn if people die, as long as their boy is reelected. Therefore, owing to Trump's incompetence, more people are dying that need be.

    Trump is a killer. No question about it.

    The premise of this thread is that it is up to Trump... It isn't.


    Don't you want to know why nursing home patients who were infected were sent back to the nursing homes that had few capabilities to stop the infection of other, "at risk," patients ?


    Failure to think straight is a DEMOCRAT problem... Just ask Joe Biden...

    I think you are referring to Cuomo. I believe the instruction was to put them in facilities that had equipment to deal with the virus so I believe you are incorrect on that point. Besides, hat's hardly the same thing as a president foot dragging on testing which affects the ENTIRE nation.

    More nonsensical hysterics. Everyone is going to get this because it's a virus. Unless medical science makes an astounding breakthrough and cures the virus (highly unlikely) it's a foregone conclusion. Testing isn't going to change that.

    Hospitals are not designed to be giant quarantine wards just to 'house' people who are not even sick enough to warrant continued stay, and nobody is paying for them to become giant quarantine wards. Normally hospitals send sick people home if they no longer need hospital level care and tell them to put themselves under quarantine. The 'home' listed for a resident living in a LTCF is that LTCF.

    If the patient is no longer sick enough to need hospitalization or was not sick enough to even admit, and beds are a finite thing, and both Medicaid and medicare regulations prohibit hospitals from keeping them and refuse to pay for a hospital stay that is not warranted by the actual illness where did you want the patient with corvid discharged to?

    This is a federal problem to solve, because these people are dependent on Medicaid and medicare funding and the Hospitals are regulated federally, that means changing federal laws and regulations.

    Do you look to the federal government for all of your life’s basic necessities? You can buy your own test, or maybe your city, county, or state can provide??

    Over 65, chronic illnesses, essential workers that work around the general public?

    According to this chart, only Denmark has conducted more tests per 1000 residents and Italy and Australia about tied. More tests in the US than South Korea. In fact the US led the world in tests per thousand until Denmark overtook dramaticallyin mid-April.
