Without question, the “Lie of the century” award must be- “Peaceful Protest”.

One can expect the rioters to claim it, but when the media, politicians and leaders mimic and support the claim in the face of extreme violence, it's an insult to all humanity- and a concession to fear and cowardice. Peaceful protest is protected by the constitution. :”Peaceful” IS the key word.

    Peaceful protests DO NOT:
Include arson, destruction of private or public property, looting, assault, vandalism, terrorist threats, hate speech, trespassing on private property, attacks on police, throwing rocks, bricks, bottles or molotov cocktails, seizing control of private or public property- or a host of other things that have been consistently present and part of almost every incidence of the violence that is being labeled as "peaceful" protest.

People going to a peaceful rally DO NOT carry the tools of vandalism, the tools or arson or violence- and those who do obviously do not have peaceful intentions.

We expect criminals to claim innocence and use whatever ploy they can to evade responsibility for the crimes they commit.

However- when the mayor of a city that is being ravaged by rioters, when that mayor has ordered the police to allow that rioting and literally surrendered the citizens to crime and violence stands up and dares to use the term “peaceful protestors”, we hear a lie coming from the very person who should have been the first to brand violence as criminal, the first to order the police to protect the public, the first to call for national guard of federal assistance- the first to act to maintain law and order.

The lie has become astronomical in size and importance- and the liar becomes the traitor to the very people and city they serve, their own people. It would be hard to imagine something more cowardly and immoral than that, to literally sell out the people who put you in power with the duty to protect their city.

In a lawful community of the past, such a person would have been tarred, feathered and ridden out of town on a rail. And that would of course, be a very lenient act on the part of the people of those cities.

In times of war- the conduct of these many politicians would constitute treason and warrant summary executions. We are not in a "Declared" war- but the insurrectionists are at war with us. They have by choice made themselves"Domestic Terrorists", they attack our constitution and the rights of all free people.... and a great many of us have sworn an oath to defend our constitution against such a threat.

These "leaders" are the worst criminals, as they have surrendered their cities to crime and violence, without a whimper. Turned a deaf ear to the calls for help, while pandering to the criminals. In Minneapolis- now the city council is bowing to demands of the criminals to disband the police force, while hiring private security to protect itself.

In several instances where people have resisted criminals- the authorities are actually threatening to prosecute people for defending their property, instead of arresting the attacking criminals!

Watch the MSM news, and you see carefully constructed verbiage that invariably work the “peaceful” label into the descriptions of violence. Literally soft-peddle the violence and create a shield for the guilty- and then use the same tactic in reverse to imply that those resisting the criminals were racists and violently attempting to interfere with “peaceful protest”.

This is NOT the constitution speaking or being defended, it is the left attempting to protect it's assault on basic American values and constitutional rights. EVERY person who does this becomes part of that conspiracy- part of the Lie of the Century. DON'T BUY IT.

Call them out for it. Label them for promoting the lies. Praise LEGITIMATE peaceful protest- CONDEMN terrorism being protected by the lies, and CONDEMN the liars doing it.

Good post. We are now seeing leaders who are afraid to the extent they side with criminals. That includes the MSM.

I think some were indeed peaceful. But they were hijacked and turned into what we saw.

Of course, that would be true. But if you went to participate in a peaceful protest and saw the intent of the crowd was violence, how long would you go along with it?
I think any genuinely peaceful protestor would have walked away as quickly as possible. That was a choice any of them could have made at any time.
Any that didn't CHOOSE to walk away- CHOSE to participate in a violent riot.

I agree. The lack of vocal dissent from the left about what these “protest” turned into was condoning them IMO.

You can see the logic fail when “white silence is violence” is a chant. The ideology than inaction is a act of violence shows the horrific stupidity of that type of “movement”. It’s the simplistic mentality of if you are not with me you are against me and therefore I have the right to attack you as such. Reeks of 1930s Germany, be a vocal supporter of our agenda out face the consequences.

The reports of authorities punishing those who resist are being passed over by the MSM, especially when the resistance is clearly appropriate.
    Here's a good example:

    https://www.foxnews.com/us/st-louis-gun-couple-investigated-clash-protesters
St. Louis couple who brandished guns being investigated after clash with protesters

This couple were faced with people carrying guns, wearing body armor, who had broken down an iron gate to enter a private community. The couple were in their front yard, on their own property- basically protecting their own home. No inquiry or investigations into the protestors who were brandishing guns, wearing armor and shouting threats, of course. They were "peaceful".
No shots fired, no physical interaction- but authorities imply that the people who need to be controlled are the ones who might resist.
The wife had only a small handgun, and stood her ground beside her husband. Plenty of courage, but not enough firepower faced with armed, armored and hostile "peaceful" protestors....

Silence in failing to call this out IS condoning violence.
That is not the result the gangsters seek with that slogan, but it is the truth, and you are exactly right.

Yeah saw that story. Of course it was turned into aggression by the home owners... silly.

The rioters and protestors will not find the same passive allowance to do as they will that they found in the big cites if they get outside of them. :)

    Nice house BTW :)

The msm is the largest part of the problem. Politicians and law-abiding citizens won't stand up against the mob because of fear of being crucified by the media. I can only hope that at some point, the sane among us will stand up and put a stop to this crap.

TRUE. When the liberals infected the media they decided to discard the ethics of journalism, and they became- whores, prostitutes to ideology, to power, to politics, and to detriment of all Americans regardless of color or political persuasion.
The dedicated journalists of 50 years ago would call these people posing as journalists just that- whores. People without character or a sense of justice- just immoral prostitutes, people for sale.
Given the increase in the number of Americans who can think for themselves, the damage they have done to the nation is massive- and unforgivable.

I was watching Tucker Carlson a week or so ago and he showed video clips of exactly how the MSM was going to handle this. One clip showed an MSNBC reporters calling the demonstrators peaceful while behind him a building was burning. Then he showed CNN's Chris Cuomo asking us who said protests are supposed to be peaceful.

These rioters are all supported by the media. When the MSM accidentally shows video of the rioters rioting, looting, throwing firebombs as police cars or beating white people, they qualify it with there only being a small number of people who aren't peaceful.

Meanwhile, let's go into our time machine and recall how the MSM ginned up a high school kid with a MAGA hat smiling at an Indian. Not only was the kid an evil racist, but he represented Trump supporters everywhere.

Heres the problem tho- what do you do when you are peacefully protesting and folks show up in apparent support but start being violent? If you stop protesting, then thats whats always going to happen as a means to shut down your protest.

I agree with everything you have said, and would even take it one step further. If you are legitimately a "peaceful" protester, and you know full well that hooligans are hiding behind you in order to throw bricks, rocks, molatov cocktails etc., then you TOO are an integral part of the riot and you cease to be innocent in the whole affair.

Church groups and the like typically go out to protest in the afternoon which is typically NOT when the rioting is occurring. It is the night time post curfew protesting that leads to the rioting, and those so called "peaceful protesters" out at that time know full well what role they are playing in that rioting. To me, that gives them culpability as well.

First, "protestors" who show up with guns and body armor breaking into a gated community are hardly "peaceful"- and if that is what constitutes "peaceful", then people standing on their own property with weapons inside that gated community are considerably MORE peaceful.

The homeowners didn't start anything- the trash on the street did. Drop the "peacefully" crap. You know, everybody in the nation knows better- it just comes down to some being too intimidated by the threat of violence to call it, and some supporting the violence (read also thugs) who deny it, and some who have the backbone to call it what it is.

I've only seen ONE actually peaceful protest covered in the news, in New Jersey. The police blocked off roadways for them. A police car drove ahead to clear the route. The only violence was the injury to three people hit by a deer that burst out of nearby woods and tried to run across the road through the crowd. Feel free to demand they charge that deer with interrupting a peaceful protest.

Other than that- these thugs on the streets where any kind of violence, vandalism or criminal acts are taking place are THUGS. Not protestors, not peaceful- they are criminals.
I don't think you know the difference.

Some may have been baited in to participation with the description of it being peaceful, but if they didn't get the hell out of the mob when violence erupted, they are agreeing to be equally guilty of the crime.

The constitution gives people the right to peaceful protest. It DOES NOT insure that you will get your way because you think you should- and only child-lilke minds can't understand that.

    TOTALLY TRUE.
Anyone with common sense would immediately pull out of a protest when it turned violent, there is no question of that. If you stay, you are supporting and shielding the violent in the crowd- and that makes you one of them, equally guilty.

Agreed on everything but the emboldenned. The sad fact is that opposition groups will send agent provacateurs to sabotage a protest. Protesters cannot simply give up when it happens. What do you think they should do?

That mentality leads to all protests being shut down by agent provacateurs and false flag sabateurs.

When all this started we had a few people in Las Cruces standing in front of city hall with signs. One guy had a sign that said Murder All Cops and he was told to leave.

Assuming they are honorable people and believe they have a legitimate purpose for protest- First thing they should do is preserve their own credibility by not participating in a riot. That means LEAVING, then making a new plan to present their complaint.

That's the smart move- the stupid one is to join in the riot.
Joining in insures that your legitimate purpose will become associated with the smell of violent riots and gangsters, that it will lose all identity as a legitimate cause, that whatever respect you had will go down the toilet, and that substantially fewer people will give you or your cause any consideration at all. Especially, not the people with the power to make a difference.

Only spoiled brats throw tantrums when they don't get what they want, and try to terrorize their parents. Unfortunately, some grow up without positive parenting, and become spoiled adult brats- still thinking the same way. Universal description of the rioters.

Obviously joining the riot negates any claims one has of being a peaceful protester. But leaving the area every time infiltrators start trouble just invites more infiltrators and undermines the very purpose of protest.

Staying to continue protesting in the midst of trouble-causers should not make one a trouble-causer if we value the right to and purpose of protest.

There was a group of "peaceful protesters" who had camped at a park in Louisville, KY for a few weeks to protest Breonna Taylor's death. Saturday a "mass shooter" was videoed opening fire into the group. The TwitterSphere was certain that the mass shooter was a White Supremacist, until the shooter's name and identity was released.

The murderer was one of the "peaceful protesters", Steven Lopez, who had been in an argument with other "peaceful protesters". He shot a photographer in the face, murdering him, and another armed bystander (the "mass shooter") shot him in the leg.

Lopez was "off his meds" according to his grandparents.

    Peaceful protester, Exhibit A

Las Cruces is absolutely wonderful. My daughter lives there. One of the only places I would leave Texas for. But I would gain like 150 pounds I bet.

But damn y’all have hot salsa..

At a protest over a shooting, shoots someone else who is innocent.

    Hope he suffers.

    Correct.

But have you seen or heard that difference pointed out by the media or liberal politicians?
