Oh, I do trust the USPS to deliver my spam mail, they're great at that. The junk mail flyers are always waiting for me. USPS endorsed Hidin Biden. if you can go to Walmart/John Lewis funeral... you can go vote in person.

    "They had them somewhere else."

    Yeah in the trash

3% of the "votes" were lost. Anyone wanna really trust this system? 3% could have meant Hillary won in MI. As close as this election is looking to be, if all 3% that were lost were Biden votes.

Well maybe Trump shouldn't have appointed a head to the Mail Service who's creating these slowdowns.

The Mail Service could be a pillar of Govt Corp if it weren't for Congresses attempts to destroy it for their UPS and other private carrier donors by forcing them to prefund 75 years of benefits.

The whole situation is contrived and is being used as a tool to discredit mail in ballots, which have worked fine in many states (like Indiana, a red state).

Lets count every 'provisional' or 'mail in' ballot...! (what is the problem w/ that) ... What?
    - A sticking point, perhaps,... 'One' has to be 'vetted' by the same NICS federal background checks that are being foisted upon us, seemingly "ubiquitously" by the Fed Gov. (Therein -belies a problem) ... Have you tried buying a firearm in the last x 30 days... NO? then Shut the ___ 'front door'... Your 'opinions on the matter are largely superfulous, imho....

28 MILLION of those have gone missing in the last 4 elections. Or 7 million per election.
    https://www.realclearpolitics.com/a...t_missing_in_last_four_elections_143033.html#!

NPR says 250 million votes have been cast in 20 years. That's 12.5 million ballots a year. Or 25 every 2 years or per election.
    https://www.npr.org/2020/06/04/8648...nly-controversial-heres-what-you-need-to-know

So 7 million have been "lost" per election out of 25 million. Its not just about fraud, but the ineptitude of government ran postal service who claims 3% loss is a "good" number. But sure, keep thinking fraud is the only reason why people are against mail in voting.

The US postal service fails because of their own ineptitude. You cant blame UPS and FedEx for the USPS losing mail. And the USPS is under union control so they cant fire the bad carriers like police cant fire bad cops. What the government does is always lack luster and subpar to private businesses. Or do you think Amtrak fails because of some competing private rail road?

There is no way in hell that you or anyone else that has studied voter fraud could establish that 28 million mail in ballots went missing in the last four elections or the last forty elections, that is complete and total BULLSHIT.

I don't blame them for lobbying for their own self interest

I blame Congress for accepting the donations and trying to kill USPS through shitty legislation designed to kill it. It would be profitable if it weren't for that bullshit prefunding.

There is zero control on mail in ballots! It is outrageous that people don't recognize this. When I go to the polls they hand me a blank ballot that I complete and I place in the machine. If I am voting by mail how many people can intercept my ballot before it even has a chance of getting counted? Lemmings marching to the cliff...

It would be profitable if it could preform it duty and out preforming their competitors.

It does. That's the point. I'm getting the feeling you don't actually know what the main issue is with the USPS....

Mail-in voting constitutes de facto election delay.

Bad when Trump suggests it, fine when Democrats want it.

    Vote Hypocrite, er, Democrat 2020

In ohio we complete a paper ballot with a pen filling in a box representing our selection and place it in the machine for counting. The paper ballots are retained in case of a problem or recount. Its almost full proof.
I have voted absentee but often wondered if my ballot was counted? I have no idea. The absentee ballots are returned in a special identifiable envelope. How many people touch it before it reaches the board of elections? How hard would it be for it to just go missing? Even by accident or if i knew a certain zip code was the "evil" other party and made sure they got delayed.
What will we do if an election is close, less than a couple percent and we find after the election 3 percent of the ballots were not postmarked properly or late. Would you count them? I see a lot of lawyers getting involved more than already will be.
VOTE IN PERSON WITH PHOTO ID.

If that many go missing in a test or in a election in years past how many go misting in pandemic America in 2020 when multitudes more ballots are mailed?

Hows about Facebook, we just vote on their? Or that system in Dancing With The Stars where you phone in your vote for your fav dancer, we could use that.

Men and women have suffered and died all over Gods green Earth to allow us the freedom to vote. Whiny ass liberals can’t be bothered to take a wee bit of time from their day and go somewhere to do it. Pathetic.

"Nationwide, roughly 24 percent of all votes in the 2016 presidential election were cast via absentee ballots. That’s 33 million votes, according to the federal Election Assistance Commission. But what many Americans don’t know is that nearly 400,000 of those ballots were never counted, having been disqualified for reasons ranging from invalid signatures to simply being late."

Now we have 400,000 hanging chads to go before the SC. Sounds fun. See my prior post.

Those were from ballots requested by the voter, not mass mailing. Apples and oranges.

The USPS is one of the single biggest failed government programs of the last 50 years.

They don't even pay rent on their properties and they STILL lose money.

like i said in another thread... there is literally nothing stopping a mail carrier from simply throwing the ballots in the trash.

For about three months, I was receiving late fees on my student loan payments. I called a supervisor to let them know the date I mailed the check and the check #. They assumed I was lying and I was frustrated having to mail another payment plus late fees. Turns out, some clerk was "delaying" my mail on purpose. I guess she wasn't brave enough to throw them away because they had already been postmarked. I only found out because a third party knew the clerk and told a friend who told me. To this day, I have no idea what her problem was with me but I was able to get all the late fees rescinded and applied to my principal.

I'm sorry the PO is having trouble but I would choose any other mailing/shipping method I could find before using them. During an election year, I can easily see a mail processor "losing" mail if they assumed that most from a particular area are votes against their own party.
