    1. He's the law and order candidate, worked for Nixon, will work for him, whilst people can be shouted down in public these days in the privacy of the voting booth it's a different matter.

    2. Stress the economy, it was going well before Covid, stress that he can do it again.

    3. Attack Biden over his frailty and that his VP is genuinely the President in waiting, none of whom is especially appealing, Harris who appears to be even quite divisive and has even criticized Biden in the past.

    4. Hammer Biden on his son's links with China, especially at a time when the Chinese are acting especially belligerent and the events in Hong Kong.

    5. Portray Biden as a slave of the left wing, highlight the impact AOC's Green Plan will have on the rustbelt, trawl up his past pronouncements on controversial issues like bussing, make him neither fish nor fowl.

ALL of the above have FAILED to resonate with the MAJORITY of the ELECTORATE.

Essentially your wannabe Fasctist-in-Chief LACKS what it takes to inspire We the People to want another four years of his baseless vainglorious bovine excrement.

He had a ONCE in a CENTURY opportunity handed to him on a plate and he was way too STUPID to understand how to use it to his own advantage and ensure another term for himself.

Instead he PROVED beyond any doubt whatsoever that he is an INCOMPETENT mental midget who deserves to be behind bars.

So it really doesn't matter what "strategy" he tries now and it will have to be a Hail Mary at this stage because mail-in voting will BEGIN next month which means that he is SCREWED.

Trump's desperate efforts to smear Biden by name-calling, contriving fake scandals, reminiscing about the record years of economic growth that he inherited from the Obama/Biden administration and put a stop to, and attempting to cast "Return to Normalcy Joe" as a somnolent radical hellbent on taking suburbanites' windows away have failed miserably.

Trump could boast of his having kept his word to release his tax returns, immediately repeal 'Obamacare" and replace it with "something terrific" that "covers everybody" at "less cost", rebuild America's crumbling infrastructure, revive coal-mining and steel manufacture, or build more that a few miles of his apocryphal big, beautiful, 2000-mile wall of concrete and steel. Of course, his braying that he had the pandemic "under control" back in February was a highlight.

He could emphasize neo-nazi Andrew Anglin and white supremacist David Duke renewing their support and endorsements of 2016 for 2020, or tout his bloating the national debt to astronomical heights.

Obviously, given his pathetic record, his scheme to crap on the democratic process itself is the only realistic option he has. Attack the foundation of representative governance, the election itself.

What a long, strange trip it's been.

None of these address the single most important issue for voters.

If you want Trump to win his re-election, encourage him to make crushing the virus his single priority.

    Stop lying. :)
It only works well up to a certain point.
At some point, even the stupidest will notice that he's being fooled.

Just imagine how, instead of falsely braying that he had it under control, and that it would just "go away", hyping fake nostrums and strutting around sans-mask, Trump had acted presidential and provided the nation with competent, sympathetic, trustworthy leadership - regular honest, fireside tweets appealing to patriotism and sharing sound advice: wearing masks in public, frequent hand-washing, social distancing, avoiding large gatherings, especially those indoors, etc.

His petty insecurities caused him to miss a golden opportunity to unite the nation behind him.

Sniveling about Bubba Wallace was not a viable substitute.

Trump shall whine incessantly about America's elections being corrupt and illegitimate, as he has done in the past whenever he doesn't like the public's verdict - just as he craps upon trial by jury when a crony has been nailed.

Of course, that would recast the presidential election as Trump vs the United States Constitution, and he would lose that one even worse.

Steven Calabresi, law professor and one of the founders of the conservative Federalist Society, called Trump’s tweet concerning postponing the election he is likely to lose as fascistic” and “itself grounds for the president’s immediate impeachment again by the House of Representatives and his removal from office by the Senate.”

Conservatives are viewing this election as Dorothy Biden throwing a fortuitously ill-aimed bucket of water on a fire. It bodes freedom from Trumpery and a restoration of the GOP.

His strategy right now, it seems, is to project that this will be the most fraudulent and corrupt election in history. Please note, however, he is not doing a single thing about a solution to that problem. Mind you, he would need to recognize what is at the core of the problem - and that is that people don't want to have to leave their homes to vote during this pandemic. If he addressed the pandemic in realistic and solution oriented terms, he would have the issue of mail in votes! So, really, this is a problem to which he has no desire to find a solution.

Do you anticipate Trump's conceding before, or during the first one?

Odds are the Bloviator-in-Chief will pretend that he wins all of the debates by refusing to attend them and instead holding a rally for himself in a poorly attended stadium.

If he doesn't feel a compulsion to retreat downward for another bunker inspection that he then claims was as packed with his worshippers as the Mall when he was inaugurated.

I dunno...debates are (in his mind) a strength for Trump. I think he won't miss an opportunity for a nationwide audience. I'm hoping moderators and Biden will call him out on lies - or at least ask him to explain them further.

I very much doubt that, aside from Faux Noise, the debate moderators will NOT allow him to get away with his usual lies.

I think a great question to begin the whole thing is to state his running total of lies. And suggest to both candidates that they will be truth checked and called out if they present lies in their answers.

    :applause:

    I really like that approach!

Put them both on notice and then have a scoreboard as a means to see who told the most lies in real time.

Trump should call Biden and strike a deal. He quits now in exchange for no jail time.

Then we are stuck with Ayatollah Pence instead.

    No thanks!

Let them BOTH face the wrath of We the People in November.

Biden made it through a dozen debates, within the last year, against people both smarter and more politically savvy than Donald "inject bleach" trump.

My primary concern is that WITHOUT the Covidiot on the ticket there will be many Republicans willing to vote for Pence over Biden.

Don't want to give them that opportunity.

I think Biden will make it clear that he is too far mentally gone to be POTUS.
