you apparently don’t understand the issue....that chart talks about all federal money going to a state...which includes SNAP to things like paying for miles et bases...what Cuomo wants his money because he doesn’t make enough tax revenue and is spending more and can’t survive because of the chinese virus

Yes, blue states depend on their citizens as a tax base so they are directly impacted by trump’s mishandling of the virus. Red states operate off the tax basis received from the federal government so they are less impacted as those monies keep coming.

They receive one continuously, so they do not need one.

Couldn't vote because the poll question and the choices were nothing I could even respond to -- and I'm a right-wing Conservative who voted for Trump in 2016....

What Trump did with his 'decree' yesterday, sadly, was total and complete BULLSHIT -- all of it, the entire thing!

The Democrats will take the presidential 'decrees' to the courts IMMEDIATELY and it will be frozen in place. Good! Then maybe these stinking, intractable bastards in Congress will get off their asses, compromise, and put together a 'package' that helps people, and, makes sense!

Afterword: It used to just make me madder than hell when Obama pulled this dictatorial sh!t, and I don't like it any better now that Trump has done the same thing!

So you can't answer my question.

To be fair, I didn't really think you could.

um every state needs taxes from their citizens. red states do get a lot jd federal dollars because they house a lot of military bases...look at Alabama for example...then compare that to cali who gets more food stamps then any other state

the problem is places like NY have ran off most of their earners hence why Cuomo is begging them to come back even saying he will buy them dinner! truly desperate

This is very true; while parties bargain from a position of strength, good faith bargaining and compromise always turn out the best deals where each side is satisfied and can go back to their constituents and claim they achieved their goals.

Out local weekly had a story last week about two local restaurants, one with three locations, not being able to fully open because they could not get employees to come back and were having to wait until the special payments ended.
Gingrich and Kasich and then Bush43 proved that if you lower the benefit and tighten the work rules people magically go back to work.

Pro tip: Adjust your withholding because a holiday is just that. When you file next year you might be blindsided like some were when Trump passed the last tax cut.

"According to an analysis by the Economic Policy Institute, as many as 11.9 million workers have zero chance of returning to their prior jobs as temporary job losses become permanent ones."

“Our estimates suggest that expiration will result in large spending cuts, with potentially negative effects on both households and macroeconomic activity,” researchers at JP Morgan Chase concluded in a July analysis, which examined the fallout that would result from an end to the expanded UI. These cuts could be devastating for the economy, Shierholz notes — affecting as many as 5 million other jobs.

“When ... that $600 goes away, so [millions of workers] will not be able to buy goods and services, those workers who were producing those goods and services, those workers lose their jobs,” she says."

    It's a cascade failure, but it's also a Depression...
