    What is you claim I am missing then? The Democrats took control January of 2007 a year before that. They failed to pass measures to help mitigate the slowdown and then with the White House too passed a stimulus that was a total failure by Obama's own measure. Why would you want a repeat of that compared to Bush/Republican and the 2001 recession.

    And working people spend money and it is especially good when the money they spend is money they earned creating value to the economy and not just money handed out to them. We risk an even more serious downturn if we do not get people back into the workforce.

    The tRUMPvirus is still expanding in many places. Places will be shutting back down instead of continued reopening at the rate things are going.
