He had outstanding felony charges. It changes nothing and he's still cuffed to a hospital bed.

I don't know why he was there. But if my best friend owned a car lot there, I would be there to try and do something to prevent it from being destroyed/looted. Who else is going to? The government? Nope, utterly failed.

Okay so what would you do differently?
What exactly is it you think they should do that hasn't already been tried and failed in the last two generations?

So felony charges automatically warrant the death penalty now?
What happened to innocent until proven guilty?

You don't need to be an EMT to administer first aid.

I did not say he needed to be authorized to defend himself it is that I do not agree that was defending himself. The possibility that the people he murdered were not legally authorized to posses weapons does not give Kyle the right to kill them.

I'm not sure if there is ethical codes about claiming to be an EMT... I have had CPR training and have the certification but i cant imagine i could claim i was an EMT nor would i want to...

I know my wife WAS an EMT ( licensed ) and is not anymore and she can not claim to be an EMT so i cant imagine you can claim it when you never were.

I doubt anyone said Rittenhouse claimed to be an EMT, The 26yo with the illegally concealed hand gun has been characteried as an EMT which again, isn't true, but he did provide "EMT like" services in previous BLM ANTifA protests in chicago. Why do you suppose he was illegally carrying a concealed hand gun?

FYI. Kyle did not fire the first shot. Someone else fired a shot into the air a second before Kyle retaliated. Is it possible that Kyle heard that shot, then saw one of his attackers that had the gun and panicked? If so, he could get off scott free. But, this all depends on more evidence and the legal system.

Because he was looking for trouble? That would be my guess.

I suppose when you are actively engaged in an assault and the other guy defends themselves from you and kills you that is pretty much the definition of self defense, btw.... But who cares?? right? If you're referring to the incident with Blake, my apologies, there isn't context here. If you're referring to any of the three assailants of Rittenhouse, my comment would apply.

If this applies to Blake, Evidence suggests that he was reaching for a weapon. Regardless of the felony warrants, his action is contributable to the use of force doctrine by the police. And so far, dude isn't dead, is he? So what "death sentence" do you refer to?

No, you just posted something that is irrelevant to the subject of this thread.

    Was he invited? Paid?

What are all these people doing with guns they have no right to carry?

Has to be the dumbest move yet. He is paralyzed due to police excessive force. Plus, he will likely get tens of millions from the city in civil court. It would be in the city's best interest to leave him a motorized wheelchair by his bed and hail him an Uber.

Killing someone because you panicked is not a great defense. Say you were robbing a bank and you were pointed a weapon at the teller or bank manager while you were directing him to open the vault. A noise such as a gun firing went off so you panicked and discharged your weapon and killed bank manager. Do you really think that an honest intelligent jury will say " oh it's you just panicked, better luck with robbery next time.
