    He was no doubt turning circles at the speed of sound today based on the march on the Lincoln Memorial that happened today. Why, oh why, is the poverty and race pimp Al Sharpton still being seen as a positive role model and public representative of the black community??

    So when the President of the United States tries to enforce the law, as you say, by ordering federal troops to these riot zones to stop this and the local mayors and governors deny that and tell the local police officers to stand down what is he supposed to do?

    I keep hearing this same argument that holds zero actual merit. Look at the actual facts. The mayors and governors of some of these places have literally told the law enforcement officers NOT to stop these rioters and have denied outside support. That's how our country works, the President doesn't have full authoritarian power, this is a States issue.

    Read what just happened in Kenosha. The President offered to send additional help there in the form from the Department of Homeland security, the Governor of Wisconsin Tony Evers declined that offer saying that he is calling in the Guard. Yet as we speak Kenosha is still being destroyed, yet he refuses additional support from the Federal Government. This song and dance has played the same in multiple cities across America since the outbreak of this nonsense with Governors and Mayors saying "No we got it" while their cities have been in anarchy for MONTHS.

    The President tries to enforce the law by making it a crime to vandalize and destroy public property as a result of these riots and he is met with criticisms of "He cares more about stupid racist statues than people!" The President tries to send additional Federal help to these war torn cities and is declined on multiple occasions.

    No, I will not even entertain the argument that this is Trumps fault, this is 100% the direct fault of every single Mayor, Governor, and elected official who have allowed this chaos to proceed unchecked for months while ordering their own police precincts to stand down and refusing federal support. All while thousands of innocent Americans have had their livelihoods destroyed and dozens of innocent Americans have been injured.

    That entire argument is akin to me lighting my own house on fire, the mayor of my town telling the police not to show up and telling the fire department to just let it burn itself out, the President calling me directly telling me he can send folks to help me put out the fire but I say no thanks and hang up on him. And then go on TV tomorrow and say that it's the President's fault that my house burned down.

    That is utterly ridiculous, there is no logical nor rational way to argue that.

    Unless someone comes right out and says they're for social justice, without hedging, I tend to think they're looking for excuses.

    Thinking about excuses... All this Trump BS about how he's helped black people isn't designed to get black people on the Trump train the way white commentators keep saying. It's to convince swing white voters Trump doesn't hate blacks so it's okay to vote for the Orange Oaf.
    They're people lacking empathy and ethical values.
    Sure. That's okay.
    Black Lives Matter are one-dimensional because they could never speak for the black people generally. Why not? Because they're collectivist types--real socialists.
    "An armed society is a polite society...?" I'm not a big fan, but if that's the will of the people in your state, so be it.
    He's exploiting and reacting to something already there. He's making it worse by playing off it. I can't respect anyone who makes a racist appeal.
    Should I say, "Of course?"
    Trudeau: "Just watch me!"

    The government needs to act. No excuses, no exceptions.

    I have no idea. He doesn't represent me. He represents the "black community" that is part of the narrative, not all black people. I know quite a few black people, my entire family is black, I know of 2 people who actually like that man. The overwhelming vast majority of my family are Liberals, I only have a handful who are Conservative, and they ALL have nothing but contempt and utter disgust for that man regardless of their ideology.

    Even my young cousin who is the textbook super socialist PC woke Bernie supporting college kid with purple hair and a cowbell nose ring thing hates Al Sharpton and that's saying something...I don't know where that guy finds his followers but he doesn't get them from anybody I know.

    I would never ask--or allow--a 17-year-old to protect my business or assets. I taught high school students and I think they should make a decision to get involved or not in something like that as an adult.

    What mob? The vast majority of protestors and protests are peaceful. The perps burning and looting should be arrested and prosecuted.

    I think he already had it in his hand. The police saw it while they were fighting on the ground and backed off and then TAZED him..........TWICE we now learn..........but he still rounded the car, open the door and reached in........their training tells them time to put the criminal down.

    I get why Democratic governors, mayors, and city councils stood down from anything to stop the violence initially, they thought they were being on the right side of history, and thought the looting and arson where the 2020 equivalent of the Edmund Pettis bridge. But there is a large gap between those woke politicos and normal people, who are terrified by this. That's why in Blue Minnesota, Biden went from +13 in June to tied dead even with Trump this month. Support for BLM has cratered too. As this roadshow demolishes Wisconsin, I wouldn't be surprised to see a similar movement in the polls.

    This all sounds insane to me. History has shown that it can take decades, or never, for cities to recover from this kind of civil disturbance. After the 68 riots in Detroit, the middle class started moving out and never came back. We are going to see city after city destroyed, and if there is a political goal to get rid of Trump with it, it's on the verge of backfiring.

    4 Democrat mayors in north east MN just came out in support of Trump-in the only "blue" rural portion of the state.

    In 2016, Hillary won that state by about a point.

    The times they are a changing.

    Oregon doesn't want or need the feds. If Oregonians don't like their public officials, they can vote them out.
    The mayor of Portland is the responsibility of the governor.
    Apparently, they don't want or need fed assistance, either.
    We had three thousand bombings a year in the 1970s. Don't let Trump get you all worked up.
    The perps should be arrested and prosecuted. Citizens of the impacted cities and state can decide the fate of their pols.

    federal troops were sent against racist democrats in the south to integrate blacks

    He is entitled to not being attacked by these blm and antifa terrorists. They chose to attack him, and try to kill him...it just turns out he was the much better man and won. He is allowed to defend himself against these terrorists unreasonable attacks.
