Is that not the definition of perceived imminent threat? Don't bother answering, you don't know or understand the law, so any response you provide must be viewed in that light. But it seems you are entirely willing to overlook the fact that Grosskreutz was carrying a concealed weapon illegally in Wisconsin which he then took out and pointed at someone. Why is that?

Again, why do you come back defending two convicted felons and their unwarranted assault on a guy on a public street that wasn't threatening them? Why do you continue to abuse the facts here? Is the fact that anyone, let alone a snot nosed kid (CNN Lockhart quote) from a state with very restrictive gun laws was able to thwart violence, looting and arson in a neighboring state, and you just cannot tolerate that? is that it?

From what I've seen so far, the kid is going to claim self-defense. Will he be denied a self-defense claim because he was violating the law, and that's behind Rittenhouse's lawyer challenging the constitutionality of a ban on a 17-year-olds carrying an AR-15?

He can use any defense he's legally entitled to... self defense seems to be all he has, but neither the video or criminal complaint or witness backs that up, certainly for the 2nd shooting. I don't know enough about the 1st shooting to make a preliminary determination.

Gosh, you sure seem certain. Were you this certain in the Blake case? If not, why? You seem to be willing to accept that Kenosha PD is credible on one hand, and entirely self serving on the other. So, which is it? And the beauty of this is that when this either gets dropped after a suiable amount of time has passed and Kenosha can withstand the national democratic party outcry... or it goes to a jury, Rittenhouse will be released. The video evidence is pretty clear here. From multiple angles, from multiple feeds, all with this sweet thing called timestamping. Which means you can (as a couple folks already have) knit them together to provide multiple perspectives that all show two convicted criminals attacking Rittenhouse, and the third, Grosskreutz pulling an illegally concealed weapon with the (his own admission) intent to kill Rittenhouse. Unprovoked, mind you. So, your fiction that somehow any of these folks intended ( your own characterization which frankly you have no evidence of) to do grievous and great bodily harm to a 17 yo. who they chased down the public street attempting to assault. Don't bet your own money on your theory.

Pepper spray is different than a paintball gun. How is someone supposed to know this is a paintball weapon...?

Irrelevant when we're looking at paintball weapons. (I've seen videos of the two-stage incident with the kid and I think he had reason to fear serious bodily harm. It's less certain in videos of the first encounter, but I think it's rather obvious at the end of the street chase where the kid falls.)

If you point the above paintball weapon above at me, you would be taking a huge risk if I had a clear shot. I suspect you might see things the same way.

The only people he shot approached him to try and take his rifle away while another attacker brought his skate board to the fight. I did not see him shooting people who smartly kept their distance. Hell, he didn't even shoot the person recording the whole incident and get rid of the evidence. He was even willing to give himself up to LEOs but they drove on past him.
