I remember when the ACLU were free speech absolutists. Could the change be the result of a jeadership change? I'm not sure where anyone goes to college is really their business:

The staffer needs to be fired. I think that's what you get these days when you use your free speech.

A stain on the institution? Why? That's not even a defensible position unless you're ultra partisan with an axe to grind.

Nick has a bright future ahead of him! He deserves it!

Dems petty attacks on him failed miserably.

The ACLU staffer can have their meltdown, Nick deserves to live happily.

Im not sure this rant has anything to do with the ACLU, besides the fact she worked there.

I got a chuckle when I saw the name of the University he would be attending, but then I realized that he does have the pale, dead-eyed, soulless stare of a vampire, so it all makes sense now...

Humor aside, everybody, even RW agitators, has the right to attend college. I'm expecting at some point during his 6 years, his eyes might be awakened to the fact he has chosen the wrong side and decide not to support authoritarianism in the future.... Education tends to do that....

Transy is where you go when you aren't a great student and need to boost your academic status. An 89% acceptance rate assures they aren't denying many.

It looks like somebody wants a Sandmann slander hammer lawsuit brought down on their heads.

    They never learn.

Look at that. A couple of posters are ripping on the kid, for his choice in politics or his choice of school. A couple of class acts here. He is a high school kid. The media tore him to shreds earlier, and you guys just want to keep that going, simply because he has proven at this young age that he is actually smarter than you. You two disgust me.

The same type that rip into a kid for standing still and not being an agitator, likely are the same ones that defend Jacob Blake's actions.

For the record, he's an adult. Not a high school kid.

At least have a idea about the subject your commenting on. Good grief. Did you get your info from CNN or something? :) The ONLY agitator was a grown adult Native American guy(known activist) banging a drum in a kids face while he calmly and peacefully stood there and smiled. Didn’t stop CNN and most of the MSM from attempting to destroy the kid(at the time).

And meanwhile we have psychotics screaming in people’s faces at restaurants or in front of their homes and the MSM turns a blind eye. But this kid needed his life destroyed over a smile?

It's actually a well regarded school in Lexington....and one of the oldest schools in teh nation....over 240 years old

Home to 2 SCOTUS justices, 50 US Senators, 100 plus Congressmen, and numerous Govs.

But hey......your ignorance of the school, shouldn't get in the way of making from of a teenager....good for you

What was it that he did wrong and how did he support authoritarianism?

    Now let's consider reality.

The failed slander campaign against Nick Sandmann has made him exceedingly wealthy, and yet, despite being in a position of lifelong financial security, he's still choosing to attend college, pursue a degree, and educate and better himself.

Contrast that with all the truly authoritarian dirtbags running around screaming in people's faces and burning down buildings in the name of "social justice". Those are people, who if granted a financial windfall the type of which Nick Sandmann deservedly got, would surely use the money to consume more drugs, set more fires, and scream more of their authoritarian screed in the faces of yet more innocent bystanders. A lack of education tends to do that.

And that's the side of history you're on.

Did you refer to Trayvon Martin as a child?

    https://www.latimes.com/opinion/la-...artin-zimmerman-teenagers-20130712-story.html

In rebutting the defense’s closing argument at the George Zimmerman trial, prosecutor John Guy said of Trayvon Martin: “Was that child not in fear when he was running from that defendant? Isn’t that every child’s worst nightmare, to be followed on the way home in the dark by a stranger? That was Trayvon Martin’s last emotion.”

Some people seem to wallow in their own pretentious ignorance, it's rather amusing.

By the time Nick gets done collecting from his lawsuits maybe he can buy the University and fire that asshat that has his/her/alphabets panties in a wad.

You totally beat me to this as as soon as I read the article thought AHHHHH another lawsuit for Sandmann.

And let's not leave out the veiled threats by the university "diversity" scholar Avery Tompkins

......calling Sandmann's “public behavior and rhetoric atrocious and uninformed," adding that the young student must accept his class as gospel, The National Review reported.

“We can’t not admit academically qualified students due to their political and personal views," he said. "If he ends up in my Intro class, fine. He might learn something that is actually based on research and evidence."

....Sandmann is part of groups that hold “anti-intellectualist views” and would see the professor "as part of some liberal brainwashing machine, but signing up for Transy and my class means he is required to learn that information, even if he disagrees.”

.....“If he were to cause problems by being disruptive, trolling, or engaging in unethical behavior of any kind, I would immediately document it (just like I would for any student doing the same thing)…and he would just be putting himself in a position for me to file a conduct report.”
    https://www.foxnews.com/us/aclu-sta...ann-calls-it-a-stain-on-the-school-report.amp

Ahh who exactly needs to learn something based on facts here?
