White privilege is a term used to deprive those with white skin any reward for their efforts and to discourage those with larger amounts of melatonin to be discouraged and rely on an elite government force to help them out. In short....it is designed to divide Americans.

Equal opportunity yes. Equal results? Up to the individual.
Everyone has one or more crosses to bear. We approach opportunity differently. Did you ever consider looking at individuals individually?

When I read Malcolm X's autobiography he said, and I quote "There are two things White men absolutely hate to see a Black man do. One is to have a good paying job that he thinks the Black man doesn't deserve. The other is to see a Black man involved sexually with a White woman".
Brother Malcolm said this in the 60s. Nowadays, I think what White men (maybe some women too) hate to even think about is Blacks benefiting from Affirmative Action or the possibility of receiving reparations for slavery.

WHEN have we ever had equal opportunity in this country? NEVER. At least not until Affirmative Action came along.

And Lyndon Johnson said "we'll give those ni*&^%s enough that they'll vote Democrat for the next 200 years!
It's time to live the MLK dream. Only think in terms of One Race.....the human race. Is that too difficult for you? I think a good many on the left enjoy the conflict.

Losers will never see opportunity where it exists. The more successful those with black skin become, the more you lose your argument. Success has nothing to do with skin color anyway. Immigrants from Ethiopia have, on average, afar better income than American Blacks. One Race....the Human race.

MLK was killed by White Supremacists, remember? LBJ turned out to be a good President. He helped pass the 1964 Civil Rights Act and the 1965 Voting Rights Act. He was a product of his upbringing; but that's OK.

Sure. Let African-Americans and other POC benefit from Affirmative Action for 300 years the same way Whites did, then we'll think about it.

Seems a good point to remind you that POC are at the top of the wealth/education stats in America. Whites are number two.

You may want to reconsider your words.

Affirmative action discriminates against whites and Orientals and advances blacks to positions where they lack the intelligence to perform adequately.

The agency I worked for had a hiring class of about 80 people to adjudicate claims. Affirmative Action was glaringly obvious as almost everyone of them were POC. Fast forward about 15 years from their hire and it was time for another hiring class. The lesson learned from the affirmative action hire was it didn’t work. Error rates went up, back logs increased and Congress was screaming that constituents were burning up their phones demanding accurate and timely disposition of their cases. What did the agency do with the new hiring class? They added the requirement for a 4 year degree to the job description to get around the policy. There is definitely no degree needed to do this particular job. There is a 6 month training period. Once you are “on the floor” your operating manuals are on your desk at all times. The skills you need are reading comprehension and application. Skills that are honed in K-12. Hiring people just because they meet a quota never works. It puts the quality of your product or service at risk.

Generally, federal laws and mandates only mess things up, so I'm opposed to a federalized Affirmative Action, particularly if we start talking about setting quotas for every company across the board. That sets up a paternalistic and stigmatizing system which implies that some people aren't as smart as others and they can't succeed on their own due to their skin color or sex. My observation is that peoples' brain power is not attached to their skin tone or their genitals. Grey matter between the ears is all grey no matter who you are.

I do think some of the Affirmative Action legislation of the 1960's through the 1980's was helpful in "breaking the ice" for women and minorities. More women and minorities were inspired and motivated to branch out and get their education in fields which were previously dominated by "white men". There was no motivation to get a degree in, say Civil Engineering, if they thought there was no way they would get "that" job out of college due to discrimination. Early affirmative action helped people get in the door to then compete and prove their capabilities. That was motivating.

The point of early affirmative action was to open the opportunity to compete and level the playing field. It seems that the goal has been accomplished. We see very successful women and minorities across all fields now, people who have absolutely shattered every glass ceiling which previously existed. There is nothing holding anyone back except for their own desire, motivation and drive to succeed.

We were moving toward a post-racial society until 10-12 years ago when somehow the Democratic Party decided to re-litigate the Civil Rights Era and make everything about skin color again, as if this country has not moved forward by leaps and bounds over the last 50-60 years. All this renewed racial focus and affirmative action based on some type of system where you get points added or subtracted because of your melanin looks very regressive.

~ Affirmative Action is simply not necessary. It is also "racist" and "sexist".

How many Democrats voted for the Civil Rights Act? You didn't negate the fact LBJ used giveaways "to get those n&**(%s to vote Democrat for the next 200 years." What you are saying is....LBJ was "woke" even though he brought us the Viet Nam War, but that's O.K.

MLK was killed by "one" white supremacist. Twist the truth much do you? We had Senators shot on a Ball field by one Sanders Democrat for crying out loud!

It was reported that there was a group of 5 wealthy White Supremacists who pooled their money to hire James Earl Ray. There may have been other people involved in the assassination, also.

LBJ was a brilliant politician and he knew his fellow White people very well.
"If you can convince the lowest White man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. He'll, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you"--- President Lyndon Baines Johnson.

I am absolutely positive that all Whites hired during the decades of Jim Crow were stellar employees. Am I right?

This country has never, I repeat, NEVER, been near a post racial society. Not in the last 50-60 years and not now.
We need Affirmative Action just as much now as we did when it was first implemented.
