Free medical care for alligators. Meanwhile, insurance companies can decide who lives and dies. Between 45k-60k Americans die a year due to a lack of health insurance. Medical debt is the leading cause of bankruptcy. Under Obamacare, people who made more than $14k per year were mandated to pay a private company for insurance that they weren't going to use because they couldn't afford the premiums.

ObamaCare as well as MediCare are jokes on working people,
or those with any assets, like the family home.
    Too many doughnut holes.
Too expensive to cover those "gaps".

And the cost of medicines is significantly higher than GoodRx.com.

Insurance is not health care, it is a method of payment. It does not decide your course of treatment, it decides who is paying for it.

I believe you misspoke. They were already paying the premiums (or penalty) by mandate. It was the co-pays and deductibles they could not afford, so they didn't use the insurance.

Maybe the alligator qualifies for Medicaid like 72.5 million other Americans.

Most wild animals get far better healthcare then most Americans. Its because the government leaves them alone!!!

Personally I prefer Aetna, but is there a website for Gatorcare? People might be interested in signing up, as long as you don't bite anyone.

I know how that ends for gators, they bust a cap in your azz for that, no trial or nuttin.

You mean they wouldn't be able to afford the co-pay?

That was a major problem. Many people would not be able to get medical treatment because they wouldn't be able to afford the co-pay after being forced to pay for the cost of having insurance coverage.

Yes, and endangered species get more protection than human fetuses inside the womb.
Should we rectify that discrepancy as well?

I didn't think gators were endangered.

We should rectify it when humans become endangered species.

You misspoke regarding why people weren't using their health insurance. If they had it, they were already paying for it. They couldn't afford the co-pays and deductibles. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...e-to-pay-for-care-despite-insurance/19841235/

People can make choices to receive care regardless of insurance decisions regarding payment. The person will have to find the means to pay for it themselves if the treatment is deemed necessary. I've done it multiple times, and actually, a number of non-invasive treatments are less expensive if one arranges to pay cash, even on a payment plan.

Most hospitals will take payment plans, at reduced rates. Some doctors, but I have yet to find a pharmacy to take payment plans.

Insurance is a front loaded payment mechanism that collects money regardless if you use it or not. A better way to help those who need health care is to pay for it at the time of service, because they are actually receiving the care.

    How?

By taking away women's basic human rights and putting them on the level of animals.....sorry , but that dream won't come true for you .

Your gonna have to show me. I just checked 3 and all three were higher than my Medicare advantage plan and almost four times Canada. I usually avoid the donut hole by using Canada, but it's not as easy as my grocery store.

In the truest sense you are still the one paying, the cost of rare events is just spread across many policy-holders.

UHC is similar, except the state runs the operation, your membership is involuntary, and the "premiums" are paid by anyone in a high enough tax bracket to pay a lot of tax.

They used to be endangered. They recovered, now there must be millions. Ever go on one those Everglade air boat tours?

Never did a Everglades airboat despite 30 bbn years here, wife was never interested (smart woman).

Inhave done runs on Jet skis down the Kissimmee, where there was a 10' mama gator on the shore every few hundred feet, keeps you on your toes.
