    Mostly peaceful protests are expensive.

The $2 billion number is just for people who had insurance and doesn't count the deductibles. It also doesn't take into account the revenue losses from businesses that were burned down where all the jobs were lost.

So what did we get for that $2 billion? I'm sure many of the looted and burned businesses won't return to the cities they were located in. I'm sure many businesses considering a move to many of the cities that allowed the rioting, looting and arson will now re-think moving into those cities. I'm sure people who do not have to live in the cities that allowed the rioting, looting and arson will consider getting the heck out of them. And it sure has hell damaged the reputation of blm and showed them to be the terrorist they are.

And that's what you can buy with $2 billion.

They need find the people financing antifa and BLM and sue them for the 2 billion. That may at least slow down the funding.

Sounds about right. Too bad we had a President who couldn't handle a simple issue. Hopefully that changes in a few months.

Guess who that 2 billion dollar bill will get passed on to. That's right, the rest of the insured customers. Thanks again POS democrat governors and mayors for screwing all honest Americans who just want affordable insurance and low taxes. What a bunch of asshats.

I was under the impression that insurance never covered acts of god claims like riots? I was evidently wrong, which would make the rest of us responsible for the damage these idiots inflicted on the community. I suggest that the insurance companies then have a compelling case to take these rioters to court for their part in these damages. Good thing there is lots of video.

It also shows what a darkly sinister ploy it was/is to win an election. They were/are willing to put their fellow citizens at risk to damage the President's image.

Thousands of blacks are murdered every year by other blacks and that is completely ignored.

What was Trump supposed to do, tell us if he had a drug using career criminal of a son that he would look like Floyd?

    Huh?

If the "blame" is to be laid anywhere:

    BLAME TRUMP.

This is happening on Trump's Watch (and the buck stops with him).

Portland absolves Trump of any responsibility. Until democratic governors and mayors work with Trump, Trump shouldn't lift a finger.

What happened? Dude was dying from a drug overdose. Sorry that suddenly fits inside of your racial injustice narrative, but it shouldn't. The guy couldn't be sat in an air conditioned vehicle, he couldn't be left unattended given his demonstrative effort to escape. What possible justification do you have that somehow this was an example of racial injustice when I can, and have produced video of this happening to white perps too? What racial injustice are you referring to?

    Typical leftist mentality.

Person A commits crime so it must be Person B's fault.

The phrase 'personal responsibility' does not apply to leftists.

And I'm also sure you blamed obama for ferguson and baltimore....wait....you also blamed the right?....What's that called again?.....begins with an H....

You would have supported him sending in federal troops to out down the BLM and Antifa anarchy?

No he didn't ignore it. What was he supposed to do about a local matter and be specific? The officers were arrested and charged. There will be a trial. Was he supposed to send in federal Marshall's to break them out and then lynch them in the town square?

He could have praised the arrest of the officers. He could have expressed outrage at George Floyd’s murder.

Or had the DOJ open a civil rights case 2 days after it happened. Oh well let's not let facts get in the way of partisan hysteria.
