He knew the majority was gone after the 2014 elections and there likely wouldn't be a Supreme Court opening. He did say it should be extended the Supreme Court after Scalia died and he thought Democrats would take back the Senate majority.

I believe he will have hearings before the election: and that is going to force Joe/Blow to announce a list of their preferred appointees. Lots of gun haters who think abortion and homosexual rights are more important than ones listed in the Bill of Rights.

What I want to happen is that Trump decides to be Presidential and says he will wait until after the election fo appoint someone, and/or the Senate refuses to confirm. I also want to win the $100 million Lottery even though I forgot to buy a ticket. I think they're both about as likely.
