Well it seems the SCOTUS is on it's way to become conservative majority. Finally we will have some sanity restored to out judicial system.

    Trump wins again.

Even if Biden wins in November the liberals will have a tough time undoing the courts.

“No one should be surprised that a Republican Senate majority would vote on a Republican president’s Supreme Court nomination, even during a presidential election year,” [Senator Lamar] Alexander said in a statement. “The Constitution gives senators the power to do it. The voters who elected them expect it.”

He's right. I expect my senator to do everything he can to support Trump as he makes another Supreme Court nomination.

The Supreme Court will be one of Trump's legacies, and the opportunity to add a third justice can't be squandered.

Don't be so sure about that. Even if a Trump nominee makes it in, there is no guarantee they will side with conservatives all the time.

Furthermore, John Roberts is neither a conservative nor a constructionist and the jury is still out on Kavanaugh. If he turns out anything like Justice Kennedy he'll be unreliable in that respect.

About the only thing we can say for certain is that there will be one less LW activist on the Court.

They're there to support the Constitution, not to play politics, but conservative justices are more likely to support the Constitution and less likely to try to legislate from the bench or bend the law for every destructive scheme the Democrats send down the pike, so it is still in the nation's best interest to have conservative justices as opposed to whomever the Democrats would nominate. A conservative nominee is as much to prevent another liberal activist judge, as anything.

Of course not...because the GOP picks judges that follow the law, not just party politics...that's why the GOP should really always pick the Judges

Actually, they have their beloved RBG to blame. Had she retired while Obama was in office they wouldn't have anything to cry and be hypocritical about.

Get the popcorn and the bingo pads out, it's time to watch democrats eat themselves again bashing and then castigating a woman put before them. All that crap about women first will be right out the window as democrats will now have to demonstrate just how superficial their mouth breathing has been. And best of all, when a women chooses life, and not abortion, but it's a choice, where will they be? How ever will democrats accuse a women who chose of being against the right to choose?

maybe we'll hear from men who accuse the woman of sexual assault? It would be a first for the Democrat party to try that

The politics of this is pretty complicated, perhaps more than McConnell realises.

I know, he's a whiz inside Congress, but a bit tone deaf about politics outside it.

He's going to accept the loss of a few Republican seats as the price, but he could lose a lot more than that.

Don't forget the winner of the AZ senate election will be a big factor, that person takes office immediately after the 11/03 election.

I suspect they will dig up a case where a rapist was set free, to rape again, a willie horton type scenario. the judge will be an indirect rapist based on a ruling from 20 yrs ago. Some wild scheme like that, and a bunch of anti jesus stuff I'm sure.
