Woman gets tased, hand-cuffed, and arrested for "not wearing a mask."

Is this really what we want our country to be like? I know the left applauds it, as you can see in the comment section of the video. What say you?

 

Don't resist. Isn't that how it goes? Don't break the law, don't resist arrest, and you won't get tazed (or shot if you're black).

She was arrested for criminal trespass since she allegedly refused to leave. She allegedly advised the cop that she has asthma, which should have mitigated her being required to wear a mask, at least it would in my state. This happened in Ohio, though, so not sure what the EO states there.

The people hired for security are given authority to handle all trouble makers.

Here's the Ohio rules on mask wearing.

All individuals in Ohio must wear facial coverings in public at all times when:

• At an indoor location that is not a residence
• Outdoors, but unable to maintain six-foot social distance from people who are not household members
• Waiting for, riding, driving, or operating public transportation, such as a taxi, a car service, or a private car used for ride-sharing.

The order only requires those 10 years old or older to wear a mask. Additional exclusions include:

• Those with a medical condition or a disability or those communicating with someone with a disability;
• Those who are actively exercising or playing sports;
• Those who are officiants at religious services;
• Those who are actively involved in public safety; or
• Those who are actively eating or drinking.

 

Tyranny is not something that should be obeyed.

It's not the "right's" response, it's "your" response, and your response is one of tyranny and abuse of power, typical of today's leftist radicals and tyrants.

 

School districts and universities have their own laws and police forces. It was obviously within the officer's jurisdiction to arrest her. She was tazed and handcuffed for resisting. She could have walked away freely, without any charges (or simply put on a mask). Should be felony stupid but let's just say she made a poor choice.

Pretty sure it was a high school football game. And the rules were put in place beforehand to ensure safety and so that the game could come to fruition. She wore the mask to get in and then removed it in the stands. She is at fault. And rather than simply put it back on, she gave the Officer attitude and was henceforth arrested.

 

Huh? If you stop at a red light and then decide to blow thru the intersection while it is still red because there are no vehicles present, you have broken the law and would be ticketed if an Officer witnesses it. It is not tyranny for gosh sakes.

 

We had to meet with our school AD last Friday. The topic of masks did come up. While our school will deny entry if you are not wearing a mask, they have asked staff to not engage in the stands when patrons do remove the masks. I’m guessing this story is exactly why.

I'm a big law and order guy, myself. Quite conservative on the issue. If police could arrest unarmed black men and take them into custody without shooting them (or strangling them), I'd have no issue with police brutality, because there would be none. You know, like they did to this woman.

What if she lit up a cigarette? Would it be tyrannical to give her the boot for doing that?

The law doesn't care about your opinion. Ignoring public health laws is not a victimless crime. Lock her up.

 

Punishment has to match the crime, and the crime of a young woman not wearing a useless mask in the wide-open outdoors is not a crime worthy of being tased, handcuffed, and hauled off to be arrested. Only a tyrant would think otherwise, and that is the hole you dug for yourself.
