Yes it wasn't illegal for them to accept them....they have First Amendment rights.....but it was illegal for whomever took them and leaked them.

With that said, the story was also purely propaganda because they ignored the Alternative Min Tax he had to pay

Nobody cares if they were illegally obtained? Dead wrong. Absolutely dead wrong. It's no silly diversion, it's what gets it tossed from court if the documents ARE real...and it disgraces the Slimes if they are fakes which tricked them into publication.

Show me where First Amendment rights include enumerated right to receive stolen goods.

Golly gee, how many liberals here read the story and saw that part before saying he cheated? You'd think their bias would have allowed all the facts to intrude, but noooooooooo.......

Actually it's the bias that doesn't allow them to see facts :)

Just as we refuse to see the fact that all leftists need our tax money, being incapable of thinking up a useful business or producing a salable product on their own but also be perfectly willing to disparage the succeess they know they will never achieve. It's too much like hard work, and the one completely true thing about the magic thinking of liberals is that there is never a hard solution, just the easy one of spending other people's money and everything instantly improves.

At the same time, auditors at the IRS are probing whether the president misused a provision in the tax code that allowed him a full refund — with interest — of the taxes he paid between 2005 and 2008, a total of $72.9 million. If the refund is disallowed, Trump could owe more than $100 million in restitution, interest and penalties.

I assume you mean the twisted Madcow. Perhaps. But they can't keep using the $750 thing. Not if they want to claim they read the article and its open statement that Trump did nothing wrong.

So you have access to documentation that explains what Ivanka may or may not have done to earn a fee? I'd be interesting in seeing it. What were the legal matters his son was involved in that were paid for? Did they pertain to the business?

As to hair styling, that is simple. Do check and see if other celebrity personality types deduct hair styling or make up artists as business expenses. You may be quite surprised what gets deducted. Personal trainers, spa treatments, clothing, hair styling, manicures.

That all said, if Trump had inflated his numbers, the IRS would have been all over it.

They have an honesty issue. If it happened to them they'd be incensed.

So now it's, either the NYT holds forgeries which will backfire on them --- bigly! --- or got stolen goods and violated federal privacy law. At the last review of such things, Trump is entitled to privacy and any claim to his tax returns is specious, not required by law.

They had a horde of slavering fiends waiting. George Romero eat your heart out, THOSE bad boys and girls stay chained in a subbasement for those extra special audits. One internet commenter said they wear leather eyepatches and have parrots on their shoulders. He forgot the cutlass and pegged legs.

So what did these hearty lads and lasses find once they'd boarded the S.S. Trump? Bupkis.

A dry well, like Mueller and Schiff and all the other rubbish the Democrats have thrown at The Donald. But the left here just can't accept it, won't accept it because their entire worldview is based on Trump being dishonest.

I've been aware of Trump since the early 80's I believe. You couldn't live in NJ and not be and still have a pulse. I've met him twice back then, and the urge to wash one's hands afterwards was close to overwhelming. He hasn't changed.

You don't get to the point that Trump has in the business world without stepping on toes and pushing boundaries. Decency defines which boundaries and which toes, and IMO, he did things that I feel crossed some lines. Nothing of tragic proportions, just less than good.

That said, I highly doubt that he would be so flagrant as to 'cheat' on his taxes, since I am sure this is not his, or his accountant's first rodeo. Pushing boundaries is expected. The IRS expects it also, and knows what to look for, such as the (I actually LOL'ed) extra special audit.

The left here simply doesn't get it about the IRS. Trump's enemies within the federal bureaucracy are countless. Those with access to his records probably spent many sleepless nights looking for what could not be found. His returns are honestly filed, stating good and bad to his own balance-sheet.
