I believe that the worst had hit. We were caught by surprise. But no state now can allege to be caught by surprise. And given the sheer magnitude of the wearing mask population who we presume washes their hands a lot, it is clear we will not hit high levels again.

Good question. Do you disinfect the door knob on your way out?

We already are hitting high numbers again . Mostly because not enough people are wearing masks faithfully and properly

You are a funny little guy aren't you?

    I did a Google search with this simple phrase "Covid 19 facts" here are the credible sources that came up;

    https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/daily-life-coping/share-facts.html

    https://www.who.int/health-topics/coronavirus#tab=tab_1

These look pretty straight forward to me...

Actually seeming to say what you are saying

Yet, you (and other... let's say '
naive' folks here) also seem to be saying the 'media' is lying about the very same FACTS they have been reporting from the CDC and WHO all of this time.

I don't care where you get your news but it is fake.

I am only trying to help you understand that there are people who are more vulnerable to this illness than MOST people like you and me.

    I think you do understand that deep down... but because you and those like minded as you refuse to accept it for whatever fantastical gain you may imagine, think of this;

God is the light of Truth, to deny Truth is to deny God.

This pandemic is not a lie it is happening.

    People are dying from it.

Yes lots of people are dying from other things too but cancer can't really be prevented by social distancing can it?

    Sleep well man.

By your, "logic," the 3 thousand plus who died 9--11--01 were virtually MEANINGLESS-- maybe 1/70th of the # killed by Covid-19 so far; certainly not important enough to embark on nearly two decades of military involvement in Afganistan.

The point about the Covid deaths is that w/ a competent response, many of those deaths were not INEVITABLE. No part of our country's annual cancer deaths are the result of going to a bar, a restaurant, or a Trump rally. And none could be avoided by merely wearing a mask. Your argument does not hold water.

I know people who have died from this disease.

I have never heard on any mainstream media outlet that there are "piles of bodies" in correlation to the pandemic.

Action by foreign operatives is completely different than disease or other natural disaster.

I just lost a friend a few minutes ago. She had covid, but what killed her was undiagnosed stage 4 cancer and heart failure. I wonder if our government wasn't so laser focused on this disease that maybe we could prevent deaths from other causes.

My wife was put in the covid ward of a hospital even though she tested negative. She had the disease and spent 5 nights in the hospital just 4 days later.

My son has a sore throat and can't see a doctor for a throat culture. My whole family had covid 2 months ago and he obviously has something else but can't get medical care without going to the ER.

I spent 6 days trying to get medical care in May. I lost 15 lbs, my kidneys shut down, and my liver was shutting down. They removed my gallbladder the next day and I am fine, but it didn't have to be that bad. I could have died.

We are being killed by more than covid.

I would be interested in knowing when you think the number would be significant. How many have to die before you consider it significant?
When does it become "worth it"?

    I've already answered this.

500,000 a year. Which means the death toll would have to hit 500,000 on or before December 31st, 2020.

It's a nice round number don't you think?

Thanks for the reply. I must have missed where you previously answered the question.

500,000 per year. So when we finish out 2020 at 300,000 and then add 700,000 next year that would be an average of 500,000 per year. I guess maybe next year you will find things significant.

I do find it interesting that you don't think it is "worth it" to wear a mask to protect your fellow citizens.

Hmm... who was it said those who fight in wars are 'losers'?.......

Note: since 1946, the world has had the machinery required - with some tweaking still remaining to be done (ie elimination of the UNSC veto) - to eradicate war between nations forever. And about time, too.....

Considering the anarchy enveloping the world, (poverty, ecological collapse, spiraling debt, and US paranoia about China's rise) I wish covid-19 had been deadly enough to frighten everyone - even you - into staying at home, for a year or more, until everyone noticed how central banks were forced to keep citizens alive, by public sector money issuance and spending into the economy...by changing the numbers in your bank account so you could buy food on the internet and pay for rent and essential utilities (power etc).
Indefinitely, for as long as said hypothetical pandemic lasted (since food production is mostly a solitary occupation).

With the result that the orthodox monetarist mythology preached by Powell and co, namely, money creation must be confined to the private sector to avoid inflation, could finally be exposed for the lie it is, and dispensed with at last.

    No averaging. 500,000 a year.

The only place I wear a mask is when I go to Walmart every day. Not because I think it is effective but because I don't want anyone there to get annoyed with me.

Besides, I kind of like sporting my N95 while almost everyone else is wearing some lame ass homemade or novelty mask..

No, mostly because the same unreliable and inaccurate tests are being used. This entire fraud is based upon defective tests, and the public buys into it. :disbelief:

Finally after 10 months I know one who died.

I know others HAVE died, but after 10 months finally somebody I know died from it. 60 year old male physician who had been working around the sick for all that time. From first symptoms to death was 10 days.

Please consider the implications of what I wrote about a UNSC without veto - the current five permanent members of the SC possess 99% of the world's military force....

This was the original vision for the UNSC which was supported by many delegates present at the founding of the UN Charter in 1946, but which was rejected by the US and the USSR who were already becoming adversaries after the end of WW2 (because of a contest between opposing economic systems.
Now the contest is between the US and China, whose economic system may well prove to be superior.......).

But surely men won't always be so primitive as to resort to war between nations....there's a whole universe out there to discover.
