California Republicans are allegedly setting up fake 'official' drop-off boxes to harvest ballots

Seems to be a trend by one of our political parties of today — if you cannot win cheat while screaming the other side is actually the one cheating. From the voter disenfranchisement to limiting voting methods and now to outright attempts to steal ballots. Why has this become what is required for a once respected party to retain their power?

 

A major part of the answer remains clear Americans; You need to take the entire electoral process out of the hands of government and over to independent electoral commissions. Obviously your politicians and their partisan supporters aren't going to support that idea so the people need to work for it themselves.

 

I thought vote harvesting was legal in California. Or is that just for Democrats?

 

The thing about your statement is that the only cases in the last 20 years of vote harvesting have been for Republicans.
The last election there were only 2 cases of actual, intentional, vote fraud, one in Texas and one in Iowa both voted for Trump twice in different polling places. In the last 20 years the impetuous for vote suppression have all come from Republicans. Currently there is a Republican president who is creating the opportunity for polling confrontations by encouraging unregistered "watchers" who will undoubtedly try to do their "civic duty" by intimidating voters. Democrats tried to give funding to the Post Office so it could insure all votes get counted, Republicans fought it. Democrat legislatures in some states accept postal carriers as signature witnesses but a Republican Post Master General has forbidden them to do so.
Seems to me you are confused by who is cheating and openly so.
