If Biden wins, he should pardon Donald Trump

You have four years of conspiracy theories coming out of Trumps mouth, from the virus will disappear “shortly” in warm weather to Hillary, Biden and Obama being brought up on charges and yet.....noting but people dying and an economy in shambles. No charges, no improvement in death and infection rates. He’s the fking president with all the resources on his side and those resources, refute Trump at every turn. You guys are buying this crap ?

 

Huh ? It’s a sham story. The other side is giving it no credibility. Even the advisors to Trump are telling him Rudy is working for the Russians as an asset dumping this story.

 

I only read page 1 of this long thread so maybe others have made these points, already (if so, pardon me). Some Trumpers here have mentioned that there isn't a prosecutable offense yet. The issue, is, there are investigations. And even if a pardon is issued (more likely to be a resignation a few days before transferring power so that Pence pardons him, rather than Biden pardoning him), there is still the matter of state prosecution that can't be the subject of a federal pardon.

I got the above from CNN so Trumpers here will shoot the messenger and discredit the source, but it's just to say that Trump will likely face state prosecutors too, and from those, a pardon won't shield him.
