If the final decision to grant that permit depends on who is applying, then yes, it violates the 1st.

200 blind people want to shoot off their guns in the public park.

All good points. The right to swing your arm ends where my nose begins. I admire your willingness to find common ground. Are you in favor of disarming armored car guards?

Poor ole Joe will need more than an anti-dementia pill to pass muster. One does not go from being the dumbest man in Congress, notoriously on the wrong side of a host of ideas and decisions, to the same man today, but less sentient. Trump sometimes disjointed because he is thinking faster than he can speak while Biden is simply trying to remember who he is and what he is supposed to be doing....

The Hunter Biden scandal is also sort of a minor issue, what with all that evidence coming to light.

If Biden wins I'll be here to celebrate, if Trump wins I'll be here to fight.

Oh. Gotcha. When did you do your medical evaluation on the both of them in order to come to this medical conclusion?

You said the moment any group was denied a permit for a gathering, it violated the 1st. I gave an example where I would HOPE it would be denied.

So you are saying that a group of non blind gun owners WOULD get a permit for the same activity? Is your analogy not a tad, I'll be generous, 'silly'?

They don't care, Jim. These radical "free stuff" Democrats wouldn't care if ol' Joe drooled and fell asleep in the Oval Office while important matters were being decided (Notice: they didn't care that super-liberal Justice Ruthie Ginsburg fell asleep on several occasions while the Supreme Court was in session, either!) They wouldn't care if the Biden family crime syndicate ran a 'pay-for-play' operation even worse than the Clinton Foundation has.

Understand this -- radical Democrats want two things... they want endless amounts of cradle-to-grave welfare handouts for the growing numbers of slugs, slackers, and bums in their party, so that they STAY in office -- and -- they want the power to TAX people who actually DO something worthwhile and productive in life, so that those WORKERS can never be fully independent from a smothering, all-enveloping central government again.

See? They don't care, Jim. And they wouldn't care -- not even if Hunter Biden got caught raping a blind child on the steps of the Capitol building, with Daddy cheering him on! They simply don't care, as long as they get their "free stuff"....

It was illustrating a point. You do agree that not all permits for gatherings should be approved, then?

That was never the issue. The issue is one of equal treatment. States do not have the power to deprive one group of a constitutional protection and not do the same to others whose opinions are closer to the prevailing political whim.

Thanks for the clarification. My support for the first 10 is strong, but I do see the point of restrictions in some cases. Not the size of magazine rounds, or the shape of a gun, or whatever. I do like sanity, though. I think reasonable adults can have these types of conversations. Everyone is quick to jump to conclusions on someone else's thought process. I've been guilty of that myself recently, and I do apologize for putting that on you.

12 more days. Maybe I should leave the forum until November 3. :)

    Cheers.

Thinking faster than you're speaking produces a stammer. Dementia produces nonsense words and slurring, like Covefe and Sessua

The early voting could be a good sign.......
a lot of people who vote G.O.P. may register as Democrats........
especially considering how angry so many on the left are at this time ... so it is hard to tell how they actually voted until those votes are actually counted....

Early voting is historically a terrible predictor.

Did you have a point or were you just agreeing with me that States can and do regulate rights?
