Let's say for the sake of argument, Biden wins.

What will he do that actually benefits this country? What has he done for the last couple of decades as a active political member of the DC crowd?

Well, he probably won't insult his enemies. He probably won't insult our country's friends. He probably will use more than 50 words, though his ability to form a cohesive sentence seems about on par with Trump's. I suspect he'll read security briefings and listen to experts, too. He probably won't claim he is the world's leading authority on every topic that comes his way. He probably won't spew random musings as policy suggestions.

If that's ALL that happens in the next four years, I'll be happy. Let's get someone sane in the WH and work to make him a one-term president. Perhaps it will encourage a sane republican to run.

Taking a good long look at what brought Trump to the White House, and what the Democrats have offered up, We, The People, are deep do-do. It has nothing to do with personality, it has to do with people believing this country should be led by mob rule.

Biden likely wouldn't last his first year. I flinch to think how far left Harris could drag this country when she would have the reigns.

But, this too will pass, regardless of who wins in November.

Do you have some medical evidence that Biden is at death's door?

Here I will help out the Biden supporters by providing an "accomplishment."

It is claimed he wrote the 1994 Crime Law that put a lot of black people in jail. This is the crime bill that Biden now calls a mistake.

Police officer and President, two jobs only suckers for punishment would aspire to, damned if you do, damned if you don't, loved one second, despised in another; although being President, good one or not, will get you in the history books.

Likely "resigning for health reasons". Why I fear Harris more than Biden.

LOL. The man has been trying to be president since the 1988 campaign. Do you truly believe once he gets that office, he's going to let it go? LMAO.

No, that's not how it works. Nobody gets the presidency and then just quits.

He doesn't appear to have dementia. Don't buy into the bunk the right is pushing. With dementia, there is no pill that can make you not have dementia for a few hours. If he had it, we'd see it.

I don't see the left piling in here correcting the record listing all of Biden's accomplishments.

The OP did leave off of the timeliness-
    ...
    1993.
1994 Crime Bill to send super predators (blacks) in prison.
    1995.
    ...

Interesting that can't describe any of these so called accomplishments in your own words. Rather you just point to a Biden web page because you probably don't actually know any of his accomplishments.

Lets take a look at Biden's claimed accomplishments:

    Climate change.

    From his web site:

Former Vice President Joe Biden's long political career spans the early days of hope for U.S. climate action, and the present days of alarm.

He sponsored one of the first pieces of climate legislation in Congress, a benign proposal to study the greenhouse effect that met enough resistance to signal the hard fight ahead.

If this isn't weasel wording what is? What specific bill did he sponsor? Did it pass and become law? If not, it is not an accomplishment. An accomplishment means getting something done.

    Expanding Access to Health Care

I guess as VP he can claim part of the "credit" for Obamacare which jacked up rates for a lot of people and decreased coverage for a lot of people? This is an accomplishment?

    Policing and Criminal Justice Reform

Yes Biden apparently wrote and help pass a racist 1994 crime bill that locked up a lot of black people. He now says this was a mistake.

    Promoting Peace and Security

Biden voted for the war in Iraq.

He claims expanding NATO as an accomplishment. NATO was created to address the USSR. The USSR no longer exists. Why was he expanding NATO?

    Reviving Our Economy

His web site mentions ARRA. Nothing demonstrates the folly of ARRA (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act) like Solyndra. If you like the Government taxing people and giving the money to politically connected crony capitalists then Biden is your man. And what happened to all that infrastructure Obama and Biden were going to create?

There are two reasons for that:

    1. At the time I posted I was on a conference call and didn't have time to post,
    2. I joined this forum because I'm trying to learn politics better (because I have children) so I'm learning.

So far, all I can tell is that everyone likes fighting and thinks the other side is wrong. It's classic "all or nothing thinking" and I find it very off-putting. Nobody and no party is ALL good or bad but people are having these ****ing contests while the country, as a whole, is at stake. Beyond that, what more is there to say?

I don't feel that I have a side per se. I am registered as an independent and don't vote for a particular party but rather vote and post here based on issues. There are things I don't like about Trump and have posted here on PF accordingly. That being said, I sincerely believe the election of Biden/Harris will be the end of the United States as we know it. The USSR went from being the 2nd most powerful country in the World to a total collapse in 30 days. A collapse can happen very quickly. Something to ponder.

I wasn't referring to you, directly. Overall, I'm burnt out on the us-vs-them mentality. Some people talk a big game and claim they will leave the country if X gets elected, but at the end of the day they don't and we are all in hot water. Sigh.

I interned in a local political office in college and hated every moment of it. I walked away without looking back until very recently and that's only because I have children now and worry about their futures. I sincerely hope their generation and descendants can figure out a way to work together for the common good of ALL Americans someday as this current tit-for-tat is ridiculous and counterproductive. As you stated, we're all going down if the ship sinks.

You missed his accomplishment. He collected a government salary for 1/2 a century. That is impressive.
