(Shrug) The wife and I will quietly hoist a metaphorical drink to this once great nation of ours, mourn for a day or two, and then get on about our business of living out the last decade or so -- statistically speaking -- of our lives while wishing future generation the best . . . while knowing what a hell-hole the collective political Left is gradually turning this nation towards. Leftists are THINKING some version of a Star Trek utopia but are going to end up giving everyone some distopian version of Escape from New York instead.

It's like back in 2016 when some of us asked what Hillary Clinton actually accomplished as Secretary of State and NONE of them could deliver up any coherent sort of an answer.

Biden himself couldn't get two sentences mangled without telling people REPEATEDLY if they wanted to know his policies go visit his website. That incoherence starts at the top.

You mean leftist science that insists that there are a huge number of genders?

My feelings exactly. I'm not long for this world and politics is largely academic to me. At this age I don't have a dog in the fight and can sit back and look at things with Spock like logic devoid of emotional entanglement. It's up to the younger generation as to what they want their America to be and if they turn to socialism and destroy the country we gave to them like spoiled children who quickly break their Christmas gifts so be it.

Yes; and it's simply a dollop of ironic-icing on top of the leftist political cake that in Hillary's case she had done nothing (nothing legal, that is) and in Biden's case, he honestly can't remember anything that he might or might not have done.

Science is not beyond the reach of politics.
Scientists are just as political as the rest of humanity.

Ditto. It's looking like they will have to learn the hard way that you can easily vote socialism/Marxism into existence but only bloody self-sacrifices can get you out of it after the fact. Ironically they could see that in venezuela, but they DON'T WANT to know, since that would interfere with their 'free ride for life' fantasies.

(Shrug), but effectively it's no skin off my nose at this point in my life. This nation had a good ride as the world's greatest super power and now we get to watch its leftist generated decline occur before our very eyes as we are preparing to check out. So it goes.

I have Vanguard total stock which has done OK even with the pandemic. If Biden is elected their will be a DOW plunge just as there was when it looked like Hillary won. After a stimulus bill it would temporarily rise but as Bidens anti business policies kicked in there would be a steady decline.
A liberal in here actually had a good idea though. Invest in solar and wind which will be heavily subsidized as the socialist government picks winners and losers.

Who is president has very very little impact on the majority of American's everyday life.

What does have impacts is the division each party throws out there each and everyday.

    Hahahahaha

You're referring to the difference between sex and gender. There's value in looking at data from both perspectives but TBH I'm not that in the weeds with it. I can't keep up with all the letters that continue to be added. I try to view it as a sub-population that feels they are finally getting noticed. It's another form of identity overkill and it typically turns off a lot of the population.

WS has done pretty well under this Administration but even they recognize it cannot be sustained with the economy's current trajectory. I always viewed most of the stock market as an amway pyramid scam. Those at the bottom sustain those at the top. Once the bottom slows it begins to impact the top. WS sees the bottom is struggling so they are looking for some boring stability for a while until the economy can recover.

Scientists can certainly have political leanings but science doesn't. It's data driven.

Get to a certain age, you're lucky to remember what you said ten minutes ago. Or less. Who're you, again? ;)

I'll buy gold and silver, perhaps some farm animals, finally get that old well cleaned out and operating.. look at alternate means of providing electricity.. a generator to provide refridgeration.. and laugh at the fools who voted Biden when they see their money , property and freedoms evaporate.

I'm not the only one. Especially independents, swing voters, the non to less partisan's, the non-affiliated.

Did you ever happen to think Trump may have had the right message, but was the wrong messenger. That it isn't so much what Trump has done or hasn't done as president. Trump is like that old uncle that no one can stand. Okay, most can't stand. He may know what's right and what's good, but the way he comes across, that turns everyone off to where folks, relatives so to speak want nothing to do with him, won't listen to him.

It's not that independents don't dislike Biden, they just dislike Trump more. Just the opposite of 2016.

Independents, 16% like Trump a lot, 13% like Trump somewhat, but 43% dislike him a lot and another 9% dislike him somewhat. Question 53. Now compare Trump to Biden

Only independents again, 17% like Biden a lot, 20% like him somewhat. Not much difference there. Independents give Biden an edge in their view of him over Trump on liking the candidates. The big difference is only 25% of independents dislike Biden a lot vs. the 43% for Trump. Another 13% dislike Biden somewhat. Question 46.

    https://docs.cdn.yougov.com/hxop5lpnlj/econTabReport.pdf

Now history has shown folks don't vote for someone they dislike. So why do independents dislike Trump more than Biden? It isn't his policies or stances on issues, independents are fairly split on those. It's something else that put Trump into their dog house. I suggest it's personality. I said this before, give Trump the personality or persona of a Reagan, Bill Clinton, Obama, he's on his way to reelection. Give him his old WWE, in your face, childish antics and bullying tactics, he's on his way to a lost policy be danged.

Biden is easier to like, Trump easier to dislike. rather simple.

The economies current trajectory is amazing considering the covid shutdowns. I attribute this to a strong underlying foundation built on good economic polices which Biden says he will immediately dismantle.

Unemployment rates on par with the Great Depression is mazing to you? lol Once states run out of money for unemployment (Thanks Trump!) **** will hit the fan. Of course Biden will be President so you'll blame him for Trump's non-economy.
