He lives well. His current rental property in McLean VA is impressive but for $20,000 a month rent that is to be expected. This home has 10 bathrooms, so if Joe has a sudden need to defecate and is not wearing diapers I guess he would not have to move very far. Of course this sort of home, along with his other residences have a massive Carbon footprint. But I guess Joe is more concerned about our Carbon footprint that his Carbon footprint.

It wasn't his government salary that affords that, though.

BTW it's Biden who makes a happy of insulting his friends as in "you ain't black............." Yea that really brings people together.

Climate Change What did he accomplish? There is still hysteria about climate change and all he offered is to shutdown the petroleum industry and there goes all the lubricants and vital chemicals and plastics etc etc. we'll be back to relying on the ME for those products meaning we have to keep the peace there and the Russia and China for our energy needs.
Expanding Access to Healthcare Tens of millions lost the healthcare that was working great for them many losing it entirely and costing the hardworking people thousands in higher premiums and less access. And what is his plan..........nothing
Policing and criminal justice reform What did he do other than put more blacks in prisons, Trump is the only one who has instituted criminal justice reform and again Biden offers nothing
Promoting Peace and Security What peace and security he and Obama sucked up to the dictators and issue empty lines in the sand and then collapses over them. Another great ME peace announcement by Trump today and he nailed Biden on NK last night.
Reviving Our Economy The country was reviving and on the back side of the recession before the failed stimulus he was in charge of. What did get? Not 8% peak in unemployment and then quickly falling as they said the $800,000,000,000 was supposed to produce. We got 10% unemployment and over 8% for the next 3 years. The WORST recovery in modern history why on earth would you even contemplate doing that again?

Meh - it was mostly sarcasm. Don't think for a minute that I'm a Joe Biden fan. I've never been and likely never will be.

Though this is off-topic for the thread, I would like to directly address your post; besides, this thread hasn't seen a whole lot of listing & debating of accomplishments (& less so if we exclude the facetious points), so maybe mine won't be so far, "off-topic."

It seems to me that the character of American citizens' political debates are, because of the human tendency for partisanship, strongly influenced by our politicians' manner of debate. The way that those in political power debate issues, in turn, has been largely determined by our form of legal arguing, since the majority of politicians are lawyers, who also rely on the legal-minded in crafting the exact language of bills passed into law. So our brand of legal debate is the product of American law, as it is practiced.

And the way ALL LAWYERS ARE TRAINED to present THEIR SIDE of a case is not to do so w/ a mind open to the possibility that the other side may have valid arguments that you should consider, & that might possibly change your judgement on the basic concept you began the case endorsing. Rather, what you're asserting-- a person's innocence or guilt, for example-- is customarily immutable. This concept is so widely accepted as the natural order of debate, that high schoolers, studying forensics, learn, practice, & compete in debating matches that are conceived upon the same principle as a trial or any legal case: the object being to present only the facts, & in such a way, that will make the argument you began with appear more compelling than the counter-argument. The actual idea the student (as the lawyer, & often the politician) is advocating is, itself, treated as irrelevant. No debate was ever won through exercising the spirit of compromise, nor is there much work for lawyers whose emphasis is on cooperating with opposing council. So it should be of little surprise-- if that's the way we always hear, "arguments," presented-- that it would be our default mode of debate.

What he accomplished and the reason he is a candidate at all is because his speeches used to sound good. The mainstream media had Biden down as a go to politician for interviews and he was a consistant speaker for events. Thus he had name awareness.
Plus he ran and lost for president/ nomination several times. That was an accomplishment.

The Democrat party aka the left, is not into accomplishments.

And in the real world Biden's 47 years in the swamp coincided absolutely perfectly with the decline and stagnation of the American middle class, the skyrocketing gap between the rich and the rest, rampant uncontrolled illegal immigration, growing dependency on foreign oil, outsourcing of American jobs by millions, endless wars, skyrocketing cost of healthcare, unprecedented government (swamp) corruption....

Is it just Biden's fault? Absolutely not. Has he been part of the problem and not the solution? Unquestionably yes.

The old GOP did not indeed... welcome to the Trump's GOP which curbed the outsourcing and uncontrolled illegal immigration, created amazing economy with the lowest unemployment on record, grew median family income by $6,000 (first time in decades), ended the dependence on foreign oil, cut the cost of gas in half... despite the unrelenting sabotage of these pro-growth pro-middle class policies by the swamp, the libs and fake news.

he did help facilitate the deaths of untold numbers of Libyans, Egyptians, Syrians, and Ukrainians, while spreading misery, and destruction across the globe, and cashing in.

Joe curled up at Obama's feet like a good dog while Obama built cages, and put kids in them.

“Middle Class Joe” is a Big Lie.

“For most of his 44-year-long career in public office, Joe Biden had a nickname: Middle Class Joe. He also often called himself "one of the poorest members of Congress." His scrappy roots—born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, to a father who suffered a number of financial setbacks—are now a big part of his 2020 presidential campaign's plan to appeal to American voters.”

“This Georgian-style house, which they rented from venture capitalist Mark Ein (Zillow estimates that it costs $20,000 a month), used to be the home of Alexander Haig, who was the Secretary of State during the Reagan administration and the White House chief of staff to Presidents Nixon and Ford. Sprawled out over 12,000 square feet, the five-bedroom mansion has a gym, sauna, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a driveway big enough for 20 cars. (It was reported in February that the Bidens are no longer renting this mansion.)”

The middle class does not pay over a quarter of a million dollars in rent per year.

Biden led the Dixiecrats to a final victory to preserve de facto school segregation.
He doomed generations of black Americans to segregated failed school systems in DP ruled urban hell holes.

It is not hard to discover that Joe Biden is a hard core racist.

"In the most heated exchange of the first Democratic debates, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) took Biden to task for his past opposition to busing as a way to desegregate public schools. As late as his 2007 autobiography, the former Delaware senator called busing desegregation programs a “liberal train wreck.” But numerous stories about Biden’s record on race have documented his opposition to the federal government’s racial integration efforts dating back to the 1970s and his fondness for Dixiecrat senators like James Eastland of Mississippi."
ROLLING STONE, Joe Biden in 1987: ‘We (Delawareans) Were on the South’s Side in the Civil War’, On Thursday, another decades-old quote of Biden’s surfaced courtesy of the Trump campaign’s opposition research team, By ANDY KROLL & JAMIL SMITH, JULY 19, 2019.

And the DNC should have selected one of the other candidates.

Actress Rose McGowan, who has been vocal in the #MeToo movement spawned by now-convicted actor/comedian Bill Cosby, former Hollywood mega- producer Harvey Weinstein, and others, shredded authorities about Bill Clinton remaining free, when alleged Jeffrey Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell was arrested recently.

Then last night, she let her social media fans know she wasn’t on board for the Dems’ four-day,”warm-fuzzies” feels fest.

"She wrote: You are the season of darkness.
    @JoeBiden
    @dnc

You are monsters. You are frauds. You are the lie."

Right away, others in Hollywood — like this singer and fellow actress — tried to silence her... And this commenter slammed the actress’ plea as “irresponsible”:

@rosemcgowan I believe you are a leader of truth, but this is irresponsible. Look at the bigger picture.
    — theskyreport (@theskyreport) August 21, 2020

Wrong. Go speak to the people that voted for Jill Stein or Ralph Nader. Non-voting, a write-in vote, voting for the losing "Libertarian" candidate, are all the same. A wasted vote. One less from stopping Trump. If you don't vote for Biden you are knowingly helping Trump.
    — BruceDC (@Bruce35dc) August 21, 2020

Oh my goodness. “If you don’t vote for X, you are knowingly helping Y.” Does that phrase ever ring a bell? If I had a dollar for every time someone told me, back before the 2016 general election, that not voting for someone helps the opponent win… (I didn’t vote for either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump.)

You only aren’t helping the other person’s preferred candidate to win. The fact is that every conversation, whether you’re on the left or the right, needs to start with a level of respect. There doesn’t have to be name-calling and animus towards each other.

In this case, luckily, McGowan’s supporters had her”six.”

Rose McGowan is powerful. She is unapologetic and she speaks the truth.
    — j.d. earl hawley (@areelgenteel) August 21, 2020

OMG yes!! Thank you Rose for saying what all of us are thinking! We shouldn’t be forced into vote blue no matter who! If you can’t earn my vote then you don’t deserve it!
    — michellefromWI (@MichellefromW) August 21, 2020

This person caught on to the Democrats’ total fraud of a “unity” convention:
The entire convention has been empty-words, platitudes, and warm feelings designed to emotionally-manipulate voters & steal power back for themselves.
    — Lucy (@lucydoggo) August 21, 2020

And McGowan more than held her own:
Warning: some tweets contains adult language

I don’t vote for rapists, unlike you. https://t.co/kREJv2jhAm
    — Rose McGowan (@rosemcgowan) August 21, 2020
    https://www.redstate.com/beccalower/2020/08/21/dnc-rose-mcgowan-joe-biden-nomination/

The DNC rigged their primaries and nomination process for Raping Joe.
    Fools.

Apparently someone got a hold of The diary of Joe Biden’s daughter Ashley. In it she talks about how she remembers shower with her father which were probably “inappropriate”.

She’s had her share of problems.
