Trump meanders in New Hampshire, and the campaign goes off the beaten path https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/20...leground-states-n1244646?cid=eml_nbn_20201025 This might be part of his inconsistency. Given that the Virus is probably the biggest item of concern nationally, and internationally........ one gets the impression that TRump has decided to give up on dealing with it. He can't even outline a PLAN for what he will do, change, or improve should he be re elected. The equation is simple. PEOPLE who are unhealthy and dying........cannot improve the economy. There is absolutely NO guidance from the oval office.......and yet they bash the experts. Biden comes with his own warts.........but at last he CARES and has a HUMANITARIAN approach to these situations. All this stupid name calling, humiliation of others, degrading of others............is so low...........that it only brings the mud fight level of functioning to eh Whitehouse. Where i s the dignity?? Where is rational sanity?? Where are BASIC MANNERS?? The worls is seeing the US in a very different and exposed light. E-DAY matters this time more than usual. As Situation i s not just unusual.....it is abnormal.(and unhealthy)
I may not want him to win........but I am prepared for him to win. If he wins. I will be watching his performance just as closely as I would watch Biden....should he win. (OT for a moment.: LOVE your cat
Trump is Toast. Everybody gets that. Trump's entire "strategy" revolves around a Court Challenge to the Mail-in Ballots. Trump himself Knows that he is going to Lose. However, nobody can rest easy until Biden is actually sworn in on January 20th of next year. Trump has every intention of leaving Biden the worst mess possible. Thus, the default assumption is that Trump is prepared to do incalculable damage during the Lame Duck Period.
The U.S. has 4% of the world's population but 22% of its Covid-19 deaths. This chaotic, inept republican administration is CLEARLY no match for nasty corona. Time to put some RESPONSIBLE adults back in the White House... Vote JOE ... and vote HARD!!!
Huge mistake. Trump needs to focus on Florida, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin and focus really really hard.
Early voting could hit record-smashing 100 million by Election Day http://www.politicalforum.com/index.php?threads/the-final-stretch-e-day.580262/ Superb enthusiasm. Excellent. and could be record breaking on many levels.
I cast my vote in-person today. There was no line at the polling place, walked straight in and was back out in 15 minutes or so. They took a temperature check, but that was all. The ballot itself was a hodge-podge of confusing nonsense, but I marked it up at home before I went into vote. The voting machine was all electronic, so I just pushed the buttons that matched my marked-up paper ballot. I voted for the quarterback, not the armchair quarterback.
The US counts all deaths with covid as deaths from covid. Most other countries only count deaths with covid and without any comorbidities as deaths from covid. So of course we have 'more covid deaths'- we're not counting the same things as they are. Which is fine, its just incredibly disingenuous to make the comparison when the metric is not consistant. Also we're the only country with a large population, well proliferated testing and honest reporting. India is still scratching for test kits and China will report anything but the truth.
I was intrigued, so I went looking. As I understand it, most of the world is using the WHO guidelines to determine COVID. The WHO recommends doing it the way we do it in the States. If you have something more credible, please show it. This is an intriguing aspect.
For starters: "Dr. Deborah Birx, the response coordinator for the White House coronavirus task force, said the federal government is continuing to count the suspected COVID-19 deaths, despite other nations doing the opposite. "There are other countries that if you had a pre-existing condition, and let's say the virus caused you to go to the ICU [intensive care unit] and then have a heart or kidney problem," she said during a Tuesday news briefing at the White House. "Some countries are recording that as a heart issue or a kidney issue and not a COVID-19 death. "The intent is ... if someone dies with COVID-19 we are counting that," she added." https://www.foxnews.com/politics/bi...avirus-as-covid-19-deaths-regardless-of-cause Some examples. Granted this is months old, but I doubt its changed a lot in the grand scheme. "France only records Covid-19 fatalities in hospitals, Spain does not include unconfirmed cases in senior homes, and the Netherlands only tests hospitalized patients" ... "But epidemiology experts warn that governments are not tracking coronavirus deaths properly. In Spain, for instance, deaths of untested people in private homes and senior residences are not being included, say regional officials. And then there is the added problem of determining the true number of coronavirus infections. When very few people get tested, as is the case in Spain due to a shortage of testing kits, the percentage of deaths over total infections comes out higher, leading to elevated fatality rates." https://english.elpais.com/society/...es-each-country-count-deaths-differently.html this slightly newer, seems to indicate that 'most' of the cases arent being counted. I would add- except in the US. https://www.bbc.com/news/52311014 If you're looking for a comprehensive list of all the countries and how they count covid deaths, good luck and let me know when you find one. But consider this: we're one of the few countries in the world that need a reason to stay locked down. Most other countries don't have much say in the matter so theres little reason to fudge the numbers. But here, if there's an agenda to keep us locked down, it only happens if We The People agree that its necessary.
Here's specifically on India, the only country aside from China that would make any sense to have more deaths than us, but doesnt ...because of undercounting. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2020...tally-understates-covid-19-death-toll-experts Which adds another dynamic to my original point. Comparing our covid death rate to that of other countries is not a meaningful comparison because, not only are many of them counting different things than we are, but their accuracy isn't as reliable as ours. To put simply- our bureaucracy is more reliably consistant than many countries, like India.
Trump's campaign website hacked (temporarily) https://www.axios.com/trumps-campaign-website-hacked-6648989e-9067-4584-acb8-78eded1f05c4.html Not really a surprise........... We have one week for an October Surprise
Early voting in the U.S. has hit 51 percent of total 2016 voting, with days to go before Election Day https://www.washingtonpost.com/grap...0.dH4tB-vTfi--1Uaohi86BfJl90aVybJWl1H0Gyl7m_o this is historical. this is momentus.
Trump has a shot at NH. I even think he'll flip it this time, Trump is already focusing hard on FL, MI, PA, WI, (even MN) btw...
