    Radical Marxist Left?

    That's nuts.

If you look closely at Biden's 'plan', he has no intention of adding justices to the SC. Dems have been so afraid of dealing with climate change, they won't even get their feet wet.

When they are feeling real brave they make middle of the road changes like Obamacare.

I did like your 'vote for me if you want to live' line.

Who's anti-masking? Well nearly every GOP politician and pundit along with a large number of their voters/viewers/listeners/readers/etc. And this nonsense about masks not working or not helping, well its just pseudo-science; as in bogus, phony, sham, false, illegitimate, mock, quasi, pretend, make-believe, counterfeit, fake, fraudulent, fictitious, fabricated, and freakin' WRONG science.

If Pres Trump had been promoting masks as the responsible patriotic thing to do since day one, like he should have, then we wouldn't even be having this debate on a national level. But fact is when he went from promising America would be the #1 mask producer to being a belligerent "its a hoax" anti-masker over the course of a single week, he took us to a dangerous place. Unlike the left's baseless, constant whining that Pres Trump gave rise to White Supremacy he has irrefutably given rise to anti-maskers, who are far more dangerous, and it is my belief that independents are going to make him (and the GOP) answer for it in here in a few days. I've said time and time again that it will be a damned shame indeed if Republicans traded away their vision for America over foolish anti-mask belligerence only in the end to be made to wear one anyways should Democrats take control. But then if the entire party has succumb to Alex Jones level conspiracy retardation then quite honesty they don't deserve to be in power.

Oh come now, its plainly obvious that a President Biden would be -in the fullest sense of the word- a puppet, provided hes not simply evacuated from the office altogether after a few months. Left-wing media has spoke on it, Marxist in Congress (the squat) have proudly boasted about it, Sen Harris's freudian slips have indicated it, and just recently even VP Biden has joked about it. The end result of either of these outcomes being that the radical Marxists who call themselves 'progressives' will be running the Biden Administration.

These Biden 'plans' are meaningless (they're barely even covered) because everyone, left and right, knows what agenda will follow a DNC takeover of the White House. Court packing, open borders, sanctuary cities, a federalized healthcare system, The New Green Wealth Redistribution Scam, reparations, PR and DC statehood, the list just goes on and on.

But thanks, yes I was actually channeling that movie when writing that line. :)

    So Progressives are Marxists now.

As a Progressive with an interest in economics, that's wacko.

They've literally called me Marxist for saying that Trump isn't capitalist enough. Literally. That's something that's happened to me on this forum. They don't know or care what these words actually mean. It's just a kneejerk defense response. It has no real content.

I’m going to go out on a limb and assume you haven’t researched your link?

Remember when you and others were blowing gaskets over using this exact kind of “study” to “prove” hydroxychloroquine was a “cure”? Why is this silliness now proof? If the subject was hydroxychloroquine instead of masks you would say this type of study is worthless.

Now, just as a teaser, here’s some info on Gove County, KS, one of the “mask mandate” counties. On August 3rd they started enforcing their mandate. Here’s what happened.
    upload_2020-10-28_21-27-27.jpeg

Here’s another “mask“ county. Sedgwick. Started enforcing masks September 9. Before enforcement a spike and a drastic fall in infection. Almost to the day of enforcement beginning a substantial increase continuing to today.
    upload_2020-10-28_21-33-46.jpeg

Johnson County, one specifically mentioned in your link. Enforced mandate June 3. Within days, cases spike up drastically and continue upward till present.
    upload_2020-10-28_21-40-51.jpeg

Sorry man. This is not “proof” masks are effective at stopping or slowing spread. There are simply too many other factors involved to claim mask mandates were causal in reducing spread. For instance, in Sedgwick County, prior to enforcement of mask usage, the county had been trying to enforce 11:00 pm curfews on establishments serving alcohol. These businesses complained they were being treated unfairly (they were correct) since mask usage wasn’t being enforced as well. As I showed, after mask usage started being enforced, as well as a 15 person gathering size limit, cases spiked. And before you accuse me of cherry picking data, that’s exactly how they made your link appear the way it does. But it only fools those unwilling to discover the truth. This “study” is interesting and has some anecdotal value, but it isn’t anywhere near “proof”.

If that isn’t enough, consider 23 KS Counties have other mitigation practices mandated, including gathering size, bar curfews, school mitigation, senior living mitigation, etc., none of which are controlled for in your link. This is not proof because it isn’t even “science”.

I get it. You were arguing that based on a blind application of comparative advantage, globalism is good for America. I used to believe that as well.

I didn't know that but that might have had something to do with the steep decline. Thanks.

If masks 'truly' worked then there was no reason what so ever to destroy this economy by locking down businesses and public events. They know they dont work, but as usual anything to pit the public opinion against each other rather then opining about the gov! Keeps everyones eye off the ball!

Masks are only part of the mitigation efforts needed

North Dakota just today began lockdown in numerous areas as Dr. Birx noted that ND had the worst mask complaince she had seen anywhere.

    Colorado is considering lockdowns.

    It's starting again

Oh and today we had 80,000 infections and 1,000 deaths

    A. There are no dates on your graphs other than Oct and March. Mask mandates went into effect in JULY

    B. Sedgewick only later instituted mask mandates

    C. There were TWENTY ONE counties that mandated masks. You cherry picked THREE and did so without
    showing dates

Twenty-one counties in Kansas maintain a mask mandate, including Sedgwick County, which adopted the rule in September after the virus flared in southcentral Kansas. Sedgwick was among 11 counties to belatedly come on board with a mask edict.
