Yes. When you show up for a primary election, the people checking you in ask which party's ballot you would like to vote for. Depending on that choice, we get a sheet saying we are listed as Republican or Democrat up until the general election.

So, I wanted Trump to have a competitor who was worthy and intellectually capable of a debate. I voted for Bernie in the primaries and went to the tie-breaker runoff elections to vote for the more moderate Dems to beat the Progressive Dems.

Then I early voted for Trump and straight Republican in the general.

I am paying attention to the Democratic propaganda that the GOP is trying to suppress the vote. They're just setting up an excuse to be whiny babies in case Trump wins, to say he "stole" the election. The GOP is doing something similar, suggesting that fraudulent ballots and Democrat cheating is the reason if Trump loses.

If you pay attention to facts, not campaign propaganda from either party, you'll see that there is no suppression happening and the voter/ballot fraud cases appear to be being caught as they happen in low numbers. One hundred million people voting early is not suppression. LOL

The election system is functioning. Stop listening to stupid biased pundits.

Little old Australia - you know the place that all the right wing Americans keep knocking because it does not have “gun rights” (we have gun responsibilities instead) - just had a state election. Here it is mandatory to vote (gasp!) But that means the government is OBLIGATED to make the election fair and easy and simple. So yes mail in ballots, but EVERY and I mean EVERY school (our Election Day is Saturday) is a polling booth. There was some kerfuffle about a remote rural area that did not have a polling booth or a post office so the government was obliged to make an effort to ebpnsure those votes got in on time and were counted. Best example I have seen was last Federal election the government hired a plane to go out to remote (and here when we talk remote we mean hundreds of kilometres from the nearest town) to meet and greet with what was often just a handful of people and let them vote.

They're saying the largest increase in turnout this year has been young people, who lean heavily toward socialism, so that could pull the state in a purple direction.

Also, if Democrats have inspired border-city Hispanics to vote, that could pull the state to the left. Turnout is very low with Hispanics, but that appears to have changed. Hispanics in the most of the state are almost as likely to vote Republican as Democrat.

Anyway, I'm not counting on a Trump win in Texas this year. Texas Republicans cannot afford to be complacent, assume a win, and not bother to show up at the polls.

So far it's been the largest early voting turnout in history for Texas. Of course that could be good news for Trump OR Biden. Time will tell. I understand that due to leftist manipulations of voter laws across this nation, it might be two or more weeks after November 3rd before we know who really won the presidency.
