I do have an answer and a refutation. Also, Ferraro clearly was NOT excluded if she was eligible to run and did. Her not winning is irrelevant.
I agree. Its so wierd to take pride is getting someone through based on race. They become an affirmative action President, or in this case a vice president, rather than one based on merit.
Likely also to be the first constitutionally unqualified and illegitimate VP elect. VP requires one to be a natural-born citizen, (born on US soil to citizen parents). Harris was born on US soil to alien parents and is therefore constitutionally unfit to be VP.
Would not that be amazing if a black female could win the VP job fair and square based on her talents and credentials, not by having 95% of the competition eliminated due to wrong color and gender? Wouldn't we all be super proud of her?... Well, maybe in 2024.

Ukraine elected a Jewish president Zelensky despite centuries of rampant antisemitism, which is still quite strong in the country. He competed against a dozen (non-jewish) candidates and the Ukrainian people decided that he was the best man for the job. Kudos to him, he broke a very thick glass ceiling. Kamala unlike Zelensky did not compete against the best and the brightest, she was hand-picked for her gender and she was hand-picked for her race. In fact when during the primaries she could prove to be the best man for the job her failure to do that was nothing short of spectacular. It is not a real achievement if you get it based on your genitalia and skin pigmentation, not talent and hard work. There is nothing to celebrate just yet.
Because she is female and not white, too bad this did not happen to a highly successful high respected woman who worked he way up by her own intelligence and accomplishment. She was so quickly rejected by the Democrats she did not even make it to the Iowa Caucuses before she had to drop out with even 1% support. All you have to do is watch, she doesn't take this seriously AT ALL.
Her speech was very moving ... not quite as good as Michelle's but even better than Barack's. Her intellect and compassion were on full display. We're in good hands.
