It's 7 minutes but informative and this will likely happen and it's bad news for our liberal friends.
And neither of you obviously listened, look at the 12th amendment and try saying he's wrong. Here's a liberal saying the same thing. Say hello to your 2 term POTUS! KAG!!!
So the short of it- IF the EC cant decide the Pres, it goes to the courts. If the courts can't decide the Pres, it goes to the HoR where each state gets 1 vote (instead of each rep), where Trump is likely to get all or almost all of the 36 Republican states to vote for him. Thats a lot of 'if's, but its still a damn good reason to not concede.
And you can bet Trump is well aware of it. I hope he outright wins it. My kingdom for a crystal ball. Maybe this is yet another reason Dems want more statehood.
I would almost say it's best for him to concede if for no other reason than all the leftist riots it would cause.
Hillary never conceded after 4 years so Trump's got that going for him. Plus didn't she advise Biden not to concede?
There would be blood for sure. But you know what happens when you pay the pirate... there was always gonna be blood regardless.
And the massive drop in the stock market - and foreign investors would no longer look at the US as a politically stable region to put their money. Foreign banks would be wary about loaning the US money, so our debt would climb even faster than it has ... A contested election has tons of unintended consequences - none of them good.
I can’t stand Hillary, however... “Hillary Clinton congratulated Donald Trump on his win in the middle of the night after election day on Nov. 8, 2016. She formally conceded before noon on Nov. 9.”
I like the **** eating grin Republicans get talking about this stuff. I can see it this guy is imagining a Nancy Pelosi getting dragged to her chair and flogged by cloaked priest until she convenes lol. Seriously though whats with all the medieval references. This ain't game of thrones hoss. Not yet at least
I have no idea what the guy on the video says (I don't follow links when the poster doesn't make a point). But SCOTUS already ruled on this. The EC does decide the President. Period! https://www.cnn.com/2020/07/06/politics/faithless-electors-supreme-court/index.html And if there is a tie, then Congress decides. In no case would it go to the courts.
Then why did she spend 4 years spouting off about how Putin stole her election? Lame excuse for losing if you ask me.
Why didn't you start out with this rather than some Sunday School teacher pontificating from his car? And I find it really disturbing how you seem to imply this loophole to be a dig at liberals only. It only confirms what has been repeated ad infinitum on these forums, that Trump minions are die-hard fascists, not Americans.
