    A split government IS the best thing for the country. Both sides tend to get small victories which helps keep everyone a bit more content.
    One party rule leads to all sorts of bad outcomes.

    Still was a loss for the democrats and a big one. You got an anti Trump vote but Democrat policy was clearly kicked out the door. Whoever you ran against Trump would have one and I imagine he will be gone in four years.

    Hopefully, both parties will move back toward the center. Hopefully, Trumpism will be regulated to the dustbin and Socialism will be marginalized once more.
    And I think very few people on either side see Biden as an 8 year President.

    The Supreme Court THIS YEAR ruled that electors MUST follow the popular vote of their state without exception, unless state law offers them an alternative. I believe only Maine and Nevada are the only states offering a split electoral vote. Thus we arrive at 306 for Biden ant 232 for Trump.

    we won the White House, kept the House and won more Senate seats.

    we even won traditionally Republican Arizona and Georgia for Christ's sake!

    With the amount of senate seats up not flipping it is a failure and you lost a ton of seats in the house putting it in easy range in two years. That's not a win.

    With it so close in Georgia, their two senate seat races in January could easily go D. Trump is not helping those two republicans with this temper tantrum.

    I prefer a republican Senate, so I hope he gets over his butt hurt soon and starts assisting with a peaceful and smooth transition.

    Not in this case. If McConnell remains Senate Majority he will block any funding for Covid relief and safe reopening of our country. He needs to go. Democrats should focus like a laser on Georgia Senate races and then start focusing on 2022 house and Senate control. The GOP has turned into a party of total lunacy and voter suppression. They need to go and rebuild their party after Trump lunacy.
