Obamacare was working until the repubs ruined it. It's just a fact. Marco Rubio and Boehner and McConnell defunded the risk corridors and that destroyed Obamacare. And they did it for no other reason than the fact that it was successful, and was called "OBAMACARE". Having that name follow something successful was a problem for republicans politically, and they knew it.

Real meaningful healthcare reform requires change to the healthcare insurance industry, and they will never let that happen. The dems actually did it, but the repubs destroyed it. Thats just a FACT. You can have your own opinions, but you dont get to have your own facts

Obamacare wasn't working, it was neither affordable nor care, it cost a fortune to taxpayers, the price was increasing by double digits each year and it came with enormous (7k-12k) deductibles making it totally useless for the overwhelming majority of beneficiaries of Obama's generosity with taxpayers' money.

 

Really........which ones ? Be specific. "energy independence", how did he do that, which bills were passed and signed by Trump that provided for that assertion. What did Trump do to lower gas prices ?

BS. It was working as designed i the beginning. It was never designed to lower prices day one. NEVER. Premiums were raising at the same rate for years. Obamacare was designed to lower them over time, but at every turn, the right killed it with death by a thousand cuts. Since Trump has been in Office, premiums have risen on average 18.2% per KFF.

Yes and the disastarous design made it a DOA useless monstrosity. $15k-$20k policies with $7k-$12k deductibles were neither affordable nor "care", it was a waste of hundreds of billions of taxpayer money, double digit annual increases combined with plummeting levels of coverage were the opposite of "lowering prices". Lest we forget failed "$2,500 family savings" and "if you want to keep your plan/doctor" promises.

The goal of Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) was to provide affordable health care. It failed...miserably...spectacularly on both accounts. Skyrocketing cost/deductibles made it completely unaffordable and $7K-$12K deductibles (30% copayment afterwards) deprived the overwhelming majority of recipients of any realistic access to health care.

I'll leave the "analysis" of the causes of this failure to you, my point that the failure was spectacular and the buck stops at Obama's desk is not dependent on your excuses and finger pointing attempts.
