Don't you think they will spend the money and stimulate the economy or do you think the checks have a different purpose?

 

It's pathologically insane, to position yourself as the feeder of the world (which is exactly what you're doing when you imagine yourself responsible for any foreign national opportunist who asks - and they will ask, because they know how stupid, vain, and gullible you are), then complain about the cost of living, the cost of housing, the lack of free healthcare, etc etc etc.

 

They're not YOUR citizens, that's the difference. They are another nation's responsibility. Do you expect the Japanese Govt to fund you just because you ask? How about the Swedish Govt? Italy? New Zealand?

 

The purpose of a stimulus is to put money into the economy. It makes no difference how you do it.
We could give it to you if you spend it in the US. No problem.

Well honestly, I wouldn't know where to begin. One of the issues in debating with the left is the recognition that we're not coming from the same basic assumptions about the world. Economists for example do think that some types of stimulus are better than others, but convincing you of that would require a lot of work, to no effect. That's part of it. But the second part of it is a question of values. Even if you were convinced that varying types of stimulus have varying types of effectiveness, you would still support giving money to illegals because people on the left, in their moral hierarchy, view illegals as moral superiors, and therefore they deserve the stimulus money, regardless of simulative effects.

It's kind of a long way around to explain why arguing with you on this particular issue is pointless, so I'll just conclude by saying your policy of giving illegals money is insane. You probably won't understand why I think that however.

Incorrect. Nowhere in the vid you posted was there any mention of FREE healthcare. But you know this.

Then what's the argument? I was referring to @ronv 's argument that it doesn't matter if we give stimulus to illegals.

 

I believe that is true.
Not finding a direct quote of that in Biden's words, but it's been a popular cause in democratic leadership.

He's already promised to put the millions of illegals on a path to citizenship. California has chosen to give $500 relief checks to it's illegals; seems the dems everywhere think America should give the nation away to whomever wants to sneak over the border. Of course illegals generally have failed to make their own country a good place to live, and it's easier to move into our house than fix their own.

We are a nation derived from immigrants- but from qualified immigrants who came with respect for our laws, and came to benefit by contributing.
Those who ignore our laws and enter illegally should never be rewarded for it. The democrats don't agree, they see doing that as buying new voters. They don't really value the nation they want to run- and that IS offensive.

 

So are these people receiving the stimulus money that are not citizens, banned from sending it to their people in a foreign country? at $150B +/- annually being sent out of the US, exactly how does paying illegal immigrants a 'stimulus" check benefit the US economy?

Biden and Harris both support the government providing health care to illegals.
That would mean that an ill person in any country could come here, cross the border- get treatment under this administrations proposed policies.
Sort of a world-health care program, funded by the American citizens.

 

If money wiring to Mexico means big boon for we Americans and our economy, then by all means saturate them with gifts of U.S. dollars.. My girlfriend works the money center here and on thru/fri/sat it's none stop money transferring to Mexico/Guatemala and other countries south of the border..

Oh here in my little town we have FIVE Hispanic owned businesses that offer the Mexican version of Western Union, same days, same deal.

 

Sure. Here we are in the middle of a pandemic and the illegal lost her job working at the hotel.
I'm sure she is sending that money home to her mom while the kids go hungry.
Do some math on you're 148 billion and see how stupid it is.

 

If the US doesn't need her right now, maybe she should go back to Mexico/Guatemala.
