Switzerland is a county with open boarders, the US only has open borders between US states. The US's border with Mexico isn't the longest border in the world, or the most populated, yet more money and more guards go into that border than any other border between two countries in the entire world, and its been this way for several decades

BTW, I guess I should add that, seeing as how a number of my students are from Guatemala and various other Central/South American countries, I'm pretty familiar with this as I've heard it all from my kids and their parents for decades. I've heard them describe their OWN home countries as "sh*th*l*s" for a long time. Maybe it helps being a minority myself - more like a mutt, actually - and teaching in an area that's 67% Hispanic, 25% black, and 5% Asian.

But - heh - when quick research shows that they elected a Trump and he was a step UP from what they normally have - well, yeah. They routinely elect people who make Trump look like a choirboy, and that takes work. These guys might be on a par with Hilla, though.
