I have thought and I am asking about your thinking. So in your perfect world the woman who had an abortion should, at the very least, go to prison for a very long time?
A woman who knowingly with forethought and premeditation kills her own child when that child was not posing an imminent threat of serious injury or death to her, should be charged with first degree murder!
a potential one would be an ovum or a sperm pre conception. We are talking about a developing human being who exists already!
What concern is it of yours what a woman decides what to do with her body? Bottom line: if you don't believe in abortion, then don't have one.
How about if you believe in abortion, fine, but don't push that decision on your unborn child? I mean sure, YOU might believe abortion is the good choice, but how do you know your child would? There are many children who came very close to abortion while they were in the womb, but now that these children are alive and grown adults they say that they are so glad they weren't aborted.
And yet rather than explain why, all you can do is throw adhom, perhaps the truth is that your entire thread is laughably stupid suggesting that abortion is child sacrifice and wondering who they are sacrificing their children to. You got your answer, if you follow your premise logically, the christian god and you really do not like it!
No I have posted the facts in post 71, I have used your words and arguments to show people how silly your thread premise is, now own it!
Do you consider yourself to be pro-life? If you believe in the death penalty or refuse to wear a mask you are not pro-life in the true sense of the word but instead a cafeteria-style pro-lifer because if all life is suppose to be sacred everyone's life would be sacred regardless of whether you are in the womb or have been out of it for 70- 80 years. Think about that.
A fetus can't think, has no knowledge, nothing to base a decision on and , most importantly, no right to make a decision if it could... What people think after they're born has nothing to do with anything...
I view a woman who had abortion similarly to how I view late Senator John McCain. They did not break any Laws. Abortion should not be illegal. Senator John McCain was rightly rewarded for his service. Yet, ethically these people are guilty of what most people in America would view as murder or close to murder. That fact should be kept at the back of the mind of anyone dealing with them.
Something tells me the "Pro-Choice" Movement goes beyond just supporting choice, and beyond just legalization.
I view women who had abortion similarly to the way I viewed Senator John McCain. They did not break any laws, nor should any laws regulate private life. Nevertheless.
Interesting, I view such women more like Roman Polanski. They claim they want everyone else to "stay out of their private life". But one of those parties in their private life was non-consenting.
Don't you believe that's a little bit of a circular logic? You're saying the difference between the two is that what one did was against the law, while what the other did wasn't. But we are relying on that difference to decide whether something else like that should be against the law. You can't rely on whether something is against the law to determine whether it should be against the law. That's logically fallacious. Think about an alternate scenario where it was against the law. Then we would say that John McCain's and Roman Polanki's actions were the same, and therefore what these women did is like Roman Polanski. Obviously this type of line of logical deduction would be absurd.
A child cannot be aborted. There are many children that will never see the inside of a permanent, loving home. Here you are claiming to care about them. Well, ... what is stopping you?
NO, there is only one "party" involved in making the decision to have an abortion....the pregnant party, there is NO other "party"...
That is a completely uninformed point of view. Scientifically and logically there are two individual human beings' rights to consider here.
