I really don't like the idea of taxpayers paying for Trumps golfing after he leaves office?!! Trump has played golf over 300 days while in office, price to taxpayers to date: 151.5 million?!! It is what it is? I always wanted to play it down Bob?

President Donald Trump made playing golf a common part of his one-term presidency. He's spent a portion of his day at one of his 17 owned-or-operated golf properties on approximately 20 percent of the days of his term.

All of those visits to his golf clubs -- be they Trump National in Bedminster, N.J.; Trump National D.C. in Ashburn, Va.; or Trump International Golf Club in Jupiter, Fla. -- not only increased the Trump golf count but also increasde the bill to the American taxpayer.

Every time Trump has gone to one of his golf clubs as President, regardless of him playing golf or not, the taxpayer has been required to pay to transport and protect him.

Even when he leaves office on Jan. 20, 2021, Donald Trump's golf rounds are going to cost American taxpayers for years to come.

In short, the outgoing president sowed chaos in the nation's capital, skipped town, and headed off to work on his drive.

Clinton (both of them), Bush (both them), Obama and Trump all lied their asses off all the time. I can not think of one politician in both houses of the US Congress or any president I know anything about that hasn't lie - a lot. I don't care what Trump said about how often he would play golf if he ever became president.

Maybe he though he wouldn't have time - but like ALL presidents come to recognize:

1.) they MUST have a lot of leisure for how intensely demanding the job is - schedule full - every day - really important people who want and need to tell you really important in the USA, the media, every newspaper, going on in Congress, about the military and the wars we're still in, who in what countries should be militarily attack today or plan for, and 1001 other things - as just summaries and

2.) the reason all presidents play a LOT of golf - Obama even more than Trump - is because that is where the rich and power make their businesses and talk about things they dare not say in public nor possibly being recorded. Golf courses are where affairs of the state and other serious matters are freely discussed.

Obama, who as president played more golf as even president than Trump, wasn't a golfer before becoming president. He likes playing basketball. He did not play basketball on a full court with the influential, rich and powerful - many whom are old white guys who can't play basketball and some would die of a heart attack if trying - when privately discussing important matters privately to get things done. Instead of basketball, he played golf although he's not a golfer. Or maybe Obama just liked hanging out with rich, powerful and influential old white guys.

Golf is the sport for old guys. Any other "short" where you ride a vehicle to your ball, there is no time keeping, never any running, and no reef - while doing a little what the heart doctor urges - walk a mile or 2 every day - than they count the time in the cart as walking distance. "Played 2 hours of gold.' Get exercise - for old guys. Really is. Most other physical activity sports are dangerous for old guys.

Being president, made Obama a golfer like all modern president. Prior to this, they went out on some really rich guy's land - very private - and strolled along holding shotguns and occasionally one of them shooting at a because the president or someone else in group said "let's go hunting." And to prove amongst these men they are all hunters, they each have their own shotgun for which the least expensive cost $35,000 plus a spare alternative type barrel in red felt fine Italian dark brown leather case made just for that shotgun. There could be a couple costing 6 figures.

Yet other than in such settings, none are REALLY hunters - like Obama REALLY isn't a golfer despite playing a lot of it. But maybe now sometimes he also can play basketball - but I bet he doesn't go back to that. Golfer is for old guys - and that's what Obama is becoming. A rich, powerful and influential old guy. A Democratic icon - right up there with the Kennedys.
