Sounded to me like he was talking about Melania. Some people really are nasty.

If saying merry Christmas is not inclusive, discriminatory and racist, then so is saying happy kwanzaa. And she's a gold digging liar. Do you guys recall all the things you called Trump out on, things like steak well done, two scoops, eating chicken with a fork?

Trump is the biggest liar to ever walk the face of the earth. Your whining has turned into crying. Have a tissue.

Whataboutism, eh? This has to do with the hypocrisy and lies of Harris. Next she'll probably recall her days on the Jamaican bobsled team.

Hypocrisy. Exactly. That was my point. Reread my post then look in the mirror

So she has incorrect memories from before the age of two. How uncommon.

Has Harris stated saying Merry Christmas is not inclusive, discriminatory and racist? Because if she hasn’t then she isn’t being a hypocrite. You do realize a video of Harris saying Merry Christmas is in this thread, right?
I never called Trump out for those things you accuse me of calling him out on. The only thing I’ve called him out of is not following through on a number of campaign promises and saying the election was “stolen” when it clearly wasn’t.

    Ever
Everybody was considered a doctor in Wakanda if I remember it right. That's why there were so many of them. Doctors I mean not Wakandans.

To be fair as a black guy myself I can tell you that I have a few members of my family who celebrate both Kwanzaa and Christmas. I remember even my family celebrated Kwanzaa one time when I was a kid because my mother had some epiphany or some nonsense and thought we needed to because we were black people or whatever. That only happened once though and we celebrated Christmas as well the same year.

But yeah it is entirely possible for people to celebrate both so pictures of Kamala's family celebrating Christmas as a kid and her claiming they celebrated Kwanzaa is not entirely implausible. She was a kid when Kwanzaa was first starting out so she could have been celebrating it along with Christmas I don't think they are mutually exclusive or anything. Kwanzaa isn't exactly a religious celebration sort of thing it's basically just a celebration that black power folks made up out of thin air in the 60s to give themselves their own holiday during Xmas time based on some African principles or whatever.

According to her tweet she said multiple generations of her family would gather around and tell stories during Kwanzaa, not stories ABOUT Kwanzaa. That's not exactly abnormal, everybody sits around and listens to stories from their parents and grandparents on Christmas and the stories aren't regulated to just being Christmas related...Now if she said we sat around and listening to multi generations of our family telling stories about their experiences with Kwanzaa as children then yeah she'd be full of it.

I think folks are digging way too much into this because the lady is so off putting that folks are ready to bash her head in over any and every little thing. She claims she celebrated Kwanzaa as a kid with her family...she was a kid in the 60s when Kwanzaa was created for black people. She's black...she very well may have...it's not exactly unheard of for a black family to celebrate the holiday that black people created for themselves...

This sort of thing diminishes the credibility of other arguments regarding how much this lady actually sucks. When she gets bashed on for dumb stuff like this then whenever she gets bashed on for legitimate reasons, which are MANY, it takes away from it because it's taken less seriously.

I think the issue is that no one really believes she grew up celebrating Kwanzaa. A Jamaican father and Indian mother...nope, she's lying. The thing is though, it's a ridiculous lie. Why lie about this? Is there really a Kwanzaa constituency she needs to appeal to? Indians don't celebrate Kwanzaa, Jamaicans don't celebrate Kwanzaa, hell, African Americans don't celebrate it.

It's not even that she lied, but it's a ridiculous lie.

I'm sure she celebrated Kwanza, while smoking a doobie and listening to Tupac and Biggie.

Sure you are not offended. That's not why you started the thread. Just a little fake outrage for good old fashioned Harris bashing, before she is even in office.

Except she was also caught posting Christmas pictures when she was five. I'm thinking the whole thing about her family getting together and such for Kwanzaa since forever was made up from whole cloth. And the larger point I was trying to make was - why? As in, why make up a narrative that didn't need to be made up? It would have been better if she has simply not said a word because she didn't need to say anything about this - no one was forcing her to say anything about her family traditions. She would have been better served simply saying "Happy Kwanzaa to all my fans," and stopping right there. No harm, no foul. But nah, she had to make up something that was easily caught. *shrugs*

Get used to the Harris bashing, she has given us plenty of ammo. And Biden should also bash her from calling him a racist and an abuser of women, but that's a story for many, many more threads to come.

No problem. I'm sure she'll easily come up with Harris Family Kwanzaa Reunion pix where the family is telling all these stories.

And what evidence exactly would you accept? I think we know the answer is none. If you want to disprove it, Harris could post some childhood photos of her and her family celebrating Kwanzaa as she described, but we both know those photos don't exist; oddly just the Christmas pictures do.

However if you are gullible enough to buy this Kwanzaa tripe, please do! There is a certain entertainment value for me in the gullibility of others.

    Carry on.

As a token of comfort to all my right-wing fellows, I predict that no matter how left this country goes, the majority of Americans will always know that Kwanza is a fake holiday.

As a nation, we could be Karl Marx's wet dream of communism, and most of us would still be, like, "Yeah, but that Kwanza thing is still bulls--t."

Are you serious? If someone says they celebrate Kwanzaa why should I not believe her? Gullibility? GTFOH.

It's a holiday. Target has a sale on panties. Get ya some.

    Ah.

I'm assuming you also believed her when she said she smoked weed and listened to Snoop Dogg and Tupac before they released any albums.

    Jeeze.

Transphobic! But you're liberal, so don't worry; you get a pass.
