What should the GOP's strategy be for the next 2 years?

The people have been traditionally divided between statehood, independence and the status quo. It's ultimately their decision to make, but I think people are seeing statehood as the only way to get development to their island. I know nothing about PR politics, but the island has great potential in just tourism alone. They need cash and representation to get that cash. A state in the Caribbean between Cuba and South America sounds like a wise addition.

Call them what you want. Promoting violence against the government is not free speech.

Mitch McConnell has a working relationship with Joe Biden, who also was in that Senate.

Sometimes, the wisdom of being old and remembering another era is a good thing. Yes, things are looking up.

Trump should be ditched, period. There's no way to "keep him in the background." Besides, the party needs to move toward the political center to fight it out with Biden who has pushed rightwing targets like AOC, Omar, and Sanders into the background.
Better to move to the center instead of taking shots at Biden in the center from way out on the right where you are.
How can you "go after" visible minorities when your white base could care less about racism impacting blacks and Latinos?
Joe Biden won't apologize for going after and locking up thugs, so this isn't likely to get much traction.
Biden moved to the center, so how is this going to work?

It seems as though you're not intending to learn from your defeat in November. Trump is a loser and you don't have a far right type to take his place.

If they really do impeach Trump the Senate vote will tell the story.

    Exactly. Not enough to win.

Republicans have to figure some way of getting rid of Trump.
Absolutely. Trump could have modified the populism once he was in office and likely been reelected. He really cooked his goose by dropping the ball on dealing with SARS-CoV-2.

Fake News. We'll be fine. Redistricting needs to be completed by the State Legislatures before the next election and since we now control so many more seats than the hapless Democrats, we are looking at picking up 7 House seats, and with those, seven additional ECVotes, not to mention a goodly number of State Assembly and State Senate seats.
Well, yes, you have Biden, and you have the Bernie Bros, and you have AOC and the nutburgers, Elizabeth Warren and the Flying Monkeys, all who will insist on competing agendas that no one else wants. There will be times that Biden is deeply grateful for his difficulty remembering all the crap they will be throwing at him.
Joe Manchin of West Virginia is going to heavy foot the crazy. He already told Schumer that he could stuff it on some ridiculous gun control nonsense Chucky was creaming over. You'll get some stuff done, but, the filibuster will remain and the 50/50 configuration will increase the power of moderates. There are a handful of Dems Senators from Red States and GOP Senators from Blue States, plus Mitt Romney, who will form a coalition that agrees to mutually support one another on key issues, that will be able to seize control from leadership, pretty much at will. John McCain refined this to a fine art, others will follow his example.
The margins are so thin, and the likelihood that the GOP will take control after the midterms, that McCarthy will have tremendous influence over the moderates who represent Red States, and there is over 50 of them. He only has to pick off 4 of them with much to promise of favors remembered and repaid once he is Speaker.
Well, and textualist doesn't mean they will render politically conservative decisions. If they are applying liberal legislation, they will render liberal decisions. The thing is, they will stick to their Judicial role and not arrogate Legislative powers, other than that, you'll see no difference with a Conservative Court.

They also will likely chip away at Administrative Agencies that are arrogating Legislative Power. Look for a LOT of discussion over Chevron Deference. The Judiciary is getting a little sick of it, and if a few more Senators are as well we could see the issue elevate during confirmation hearings.
Well, he'll start by elevating Merrick to DOJ and then naming a younger replacement. How far Left Joe goes, or whoever writes his statements on the teleprompter, and how that fares in the Senate will tell us a lot about what to expect. If they piss someone like Joe Machin off, or Jon Tester, enough that McConnell can flip them, the GOP will retake the Majority and Jon or Joe will likely be more easily re-elected as a Republican in their states than they will as a Democrat. And whichever of them goes first, will have much more bargaining with McConnell in terms of key chairmanships in return for switching. That will always be hanging over the head of Schumer, and the Bernie Bros and AOC and the other crazies, who do not understand patience, strategy or simply that they can't have everything they demand if they scream loudly enough, will view the lack of immediate gratification as evidence of a "sell-out". Should be fun!
Ivanka may run for the Senate in FL and she'll likely be a formidable candidate.
We'll keep calling out fake news, we are having a ball with it.
The Left treats religious voters and working and middle class voters without college degrees with disdain. Trump found a niche of half the electorate, and yes, the GOP noticed. Our failing Democrat cities and horrible living conditions in many of our Deep Blue cities are appalling, the GOP wants an opportunity to make some of these cities great again, so yes, we will continue to fight for the Black vote to return home to the GOP.
Of Course. It's a massive civil rights violation, it's perfectly proper that we will work to mitigate this great harm being inflicted on our beloved nation by the Left.
Everyone already knows that this is the Left. Americans do not like Totalitarianism. It's not a good fit for us. It's the GOP that are the party of Great Opportunity.

And that was then, this is now. It's a different America with different challenges.

I think Calvin Coolidge was a great President, but I don't see a return to Coolidgism as a way forward.

How exactly are they being fascists? Surely it's the DNC that needs to get rid of their radicals?

The white certainly would care about racism impacting blacks and latinos except that it doesn't seem to exist. Will Biden go after BLM and Antifa? How was Trump far right exactly?

They need to drill down hard in Virginia and New Jersey. If they can flip Virginia back red, or at least retake one chamber of the legislature and one of the top 3 state positions now held by democrats, it will put wind in the sails.

With due respect, you're not seeing reality if you don't think visible minorities are suffering from racism directed against them.
BLM organize peaceful demonstrations while Antifa are thugs who often engage in illegal activities. They should be prosecuted. What will Biden do about BLM? Nothing, nor should he. Antifa? Don't know.
Trying to overthrow the government isn't enough for you?

While not a Republican myself, I recognize the need for two legitimate parties with platforms and policies designed to make the country better. We can disagree on what that looks like, but each side needs to get back to presenting their policies and let the people decide which fits best into their view of a better country. A policy that revolves around bashing the other party might be great entertainment, but it certainly doesn't help the people of the country!
