And only constant pressure will transform it into institutional egalitarianism. Recognizing it while defending it by denigrating a committed transformational movement kinda smacks of comfortable acceptance. You can debate or criticize strategy, organization, tactics - you can condemn violent incidents of both protesters and authorities. But people who sneer or smear the entire social justice movement out of bumpersticker partisanship or prejudice or ignorance tend to be part of the problem and not the solution.

And MAGA got a million of em.

Convince him to not run again. Get another Republican in there, or even lobby for someone like Tulsi Gabbard to join. Get them elected and then keep track of how Dems respond and act towards them. Then make sure to show the results by any means necessary. Show The People how they act and that they're just being political rather than truthful and acting in for their benefit rather than the Country's benefit.

As if being political untruthful and in it for themselves is not what the ENTIRE trump administration was about. Promoting the Big Lie was definitely in in the countries interest, not Donnie Peachs.

It'll be interesting to see what kind of republican party comes out of their next convention why I bet america even gets a policy plafform instead of the "we stand for whatever dear leader stands for" press release from the last. I predict a stampede back to the "safe" moral and fiscal self righteousness of yesteryear.

Treat him like the toxic sludge he is and try actually figuring out what you stand for. Turns out that voters need more to vote for than just "I'll lick Trump's boot." Maybe even consider coming up with a platform next time . . . and ask yourself why you thought it wasn't a good idea to do so for the past 8 years or so.

What sort of pressure? De Blasio got rid of the gifted and talented program in NYC schools. I bet you can guess why. The gifts and talents of NYC students won't get developed because they are too White and too Asian. Is that the sort of egalitarianism you want. Make Blacks equal to Whites by keeping Whites down?

    https://nypost.com/2021/01/13/de-blasio-is-trying-to-kill-gifted-and-talented-education.

I sneer at the social justice movement out of historical understanding. Critical Race Theory holds that Blacks are held down by Whites. Affirmative Action has proved to be a failure which has only redoubled accusations of racism. Continued Black failure with increase racial animosity as it dumbs down our institutions.

You missed the program? It was:

    (1) Restrict immigration
    (2) Disentangle from foreign entanglements
    (3) Protect and promote US industry through tariffs and tax policy

Sounded good before, and still sounds good.

You don't like it? Fair enough.

But it is surprising you are so ill informed you didn't know what it was.

No, I understood what Trump's economically ignorant brainfart was. The topic wasn't Trumpism. The topic was: what should the GOP do now that he's gone?

The only change Trump pushed for in the 2016 GOP platform was leniency toward Russia over their invasion of Ukraine. The GOP produced NO PLATFORM AT ALL in the 2020 election, saying instead that their position was to worship Trump and whatever he decided to do. Those are not viable positions for a party. Your "solution" is that they continue with Trump's most economically ignorant drool. I think they should make better decisions, maybe even some based on facts. Why do you find that position controversial?

I doubt that your ideas are better than the Republicans. It is certainly very controversial that your opinions are based on facts.

You don't sneer out of historical understanding. As for the certitude of what can only amount to your personal opinion, that too certainly dumbs down the discussion.

I look at the history of AA and colleges are hotbeds of racism, according to the students. How do you account for that?

I account for it by you being entirely anecdotal.

I think the Pubs are screwed.
    They are now split.
Even if the party dumps him but he remains relevant to his old base of 35% a Pub can't win the WH.
But the Trumpers can win the primaries.
