.....Pundits were quick to point out former presidents George W. Bush and Jimmy Carter https://www.foxnews.com/media/biden-new-york-times-religious-christianity-catholic DUH. Carter and Bush43 are just wiped from history by this NYT story. "Mr. Biden, perhaps the most religiously observant commander in chief in half a century, regularly attends Mass and speaks of how his Catholic faith grounds his life and his policies." Writes "Elizabeth Dias covers faith and politics from Washington. She previously covered a similar beat for Time magazine." https://www.nytimes.com/2021/01/23/us/biden-catholic-christian.html?smtyp=cur&smid=tw-nytimes Maybe she needs to get another job. Why is it that the MSM and the Biden administration are so FOCUSED and single lensed to be the "first" of this "and "most" of that to the point of such BLATANT misrepresentations, and I won't go into the remarks and positions many in the priesthood have expressed towards his "observance" of Catholic doctrine that is another thread. The point here is why so focused on trivial proclamations rather that actual qualifications and accomplishments and policies?
Nothing but the usual lapdog "media" spin, spin spin. For my part I don't pay much heed to whatever politicians "religiously observant" proclivities are. I imagine the Inquisitors at witch trials were "religiously observant" too. I vote for a President, not a Pope.
Carter was a regular church attendee and a Sunday school teacher while president but George W Bush was not a regular attendee as he found when he and family attended church it was too disruptive to other people because of secret service concerns. Biden may wind up with the same conclusion once he begins doing it.
Oh gods, this just rings so hollow coming from someone who supported the last administration considering the whole "largest inauguration crowd" bs that marked the first two weeks of that era ... hollow crap, indeed.
Biden likes to make a show of his religion on Ash Wednesdays. It's a smudge on his forehead that represents some kind of Druid rite still practiced by Irish Catholics today.
What on earth does that have to do with what I posted about the MSM and their claims about Biden? I didn't even say anything about Trump. Is this your new norm instead of every post being RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA now it's going to be TRUMP TRUMP TRUMP. And BTW didn't vote for him for that first inaugural nor ever said anything in support of his claims about it's size so stop with the diversions and deal with the subject of the thread.
Bush was deeply religious and credit Billy Graham for that and routinely ministered with him an observed and held the moral tenets of his religious faith. And observant doesn't mean "being observed" as this writer seems to believe. Another reason she should seek some other assignment of which she has some knowledge instead of using it to swoon over her idol. It's a bogus claim in the article just admit it. The question is why does the MSM believe it has to falsely attribute such glorifications to Biden and his administration.
Ironically, NYT readers likely represent one of the -least- religious demographics in media. The knee-jerk "fluffing" of Democrat politicians by MSM is usually in comparable ratio to its knee-jerk denigration of GOP, and especially outsiders or minority GOP who terrify the DNC by "crossing over." I doubt anyone reading that had a vision of Joe Biden on his knees in prayer, more likely for most it evoked someone on their knees in a different way with Hunter.
