Why can't we ? Vested interests in fossil fuel and it takes commitment and you cannot o it overnight. It also takes intelligence and logic and being smart. You cannot do and say stupidities like that dumb assed Hillary said when she told Appalachian coal miners that she was " going to take their coal mining jobs away". No DS you tell people they will get better jobs, jobs so good "like no one has ever seen before".

Ok I admit it she did not mean it that way but what a dumb assed thing to say.

Because the backwards people in flyover country LOVE their pickup trucks. And, since they have more voting power.... You fill in the blanks.

They don’t have more power. They just have some power. They would have absolutely NO power if NY and CA decided every election. Democrats are working very hard to achieve that goal. Federal representation in Congress now using 10s of millions of illegals who will be promised lots of goodies from good ol Dems. And if they’re given amnesty, a total route. No point in voting ever again. The land of free stuff and home of total dependency. Like Venezuela before it imploded.

If you want to create American jobs, invest in energy sources that other countries are actually purchasing. The market demand from developed economies for fossil fuels is declining, and fast. There's an opportunity for the US to capitalize on the growing demand for renewable energies.. that is if we're smart enough to invest in a growing industry over a declining one

Psssst....”illegals” can’t vote........NY and California get 2 senators each with a total population of 60 million, and gets 4 votes. Meanwhile, North and South Dakota with 1.1 million gets to cancel their votes out.....

So who gets the free stuff again ?

In 2016, the GOP elected the president with 3 million fewer votes than the Dems.
In 2020, the GOP had a Senate majority, represented by 20 million fewer voters than the Dems. Next...

Americans once wanted good paying jobs in the Horse whip and horse buggy industry.
Americans once wanted "good paying jobs" in the Horse whip, horse buggy, horse carriage building business.
One man who built horse buggies had the insight, foresight, smarts, intelligence to understand that he was in the Transportation business.

You know his name?? No, ok I will tell you. Louis Chevrolet!
He watched was Henry Ford another foreward intelligent thinker did and a "miracle" !!! Chevrovet became the foundation for what was General Motors.

Yes fossil fuels are still important for the economy but think about it and use foreward thinking and view fossil fuel as just one of the energy sources. Yes the future is in "alternative" energy. In the future what we see as "alternative" energy will be the base energy.

Do you want to go forward into the future and meet the challenge of the future or do you to be like the horse buddy builders, or the whale oil batherers, or guys who ploughed their 40 acres with their trusty mule Morris?

I choose the future for my grandkids! How about you?

The report, which has been tracking EU's power sector since 2015, found that renewables delivered 38% of electricity last year, compared to 37% delivered by fossil fuels.

Hmm what does the missing 25% consist of?

    Fun with numbers ~

You know how the census effects that right? Oh you didn’t? How adorable. It’s like willful ignorance and stuff. Their existence becomes representation, to which they should get ZERO. And a path to citizenship means they WILL vote. But again. You didn’t know that. You so smart:$

In Germany, the biggest economy in the EU, has had it's energy prices go up by 64% since 2006.

Funding for "renewable sources" has increased a whooping 87% in the same period from 88 cents a kilowatt-hour to $6.41

Germans pay now $30.22 a KWh. More than double what the US spends.

I would guarantee, that most of those who are supporting actions like this that result in higher prices would be the same exact people expecting that their rates stay the same and somebody else cover the cost.

And this.... is what's wrong in America.

Basic 2+2 math eludes you, as does basic civics.

No matter how many "illegals" with a path to citizenship they get in California and NY, they still ONLY GET 2 SENATORS EACH. Their 60 million votes get negated by the 1.1 million people in North and South Dakota.

So you want to make BELGIUM your argument? Surely you can see what a pahtetic argument that is..

The best example for America is probably IOWA, where the single largest source of electricity is WIND.

We don't HAVE to trail the world.

It doesn't take coastal liberals to recognize renewable energy as seriously important. They know that right there in the middle of America.

But in a few years their investment will be paid for, while we are still burning our money.

Good points. Probably the largest, and most frequently overlooked industry, that needs to catch up with green energy is storage. Somebody needs to make better batteries.

Something else we are getting our ass kicked on. We are falling behind the modern world in a great many areas.
